California U.S. Senate Primary Election Results [3/12/24 - still no final results]
NYTimes ^ | 3/12/24 | staff

California's primary was held a week ago today. In the Senate race only 77% of the votes have been counted as of 6:00 p.m. EST. In this day and age, a week to determine the results of an election is obvious signs that both incompetence and fraud are involved.

At the moment Garvey is leading:

Garvey 1,987,171 +33.5%33.5%

Schiff 1,782,119 +30.0%30.0

Garvey has no chance in the run off...none. He has no money and no one is going to donate to him that will make any difference.

California doesn’t “count” votes, per say... They allocate votes for democrats is all. The rigged system they’ve created does exactly that.

Of course fraud is involved! Obvious because Garvey is the standout winner. After the “counting” is done he will be a close second. They only mention fraud when it’s the Republican that is ahead.

Is there any country on earth that counts votes more slowly than does California?

******************************

Not sure about countries, but Arizona has to be in the ballpark with The Golden State.

Is Schiff calling people to "find me the votes" so that he can go into the run-off as the leader?

I can't imagine that Barbara Lee and Katie Porter voters will switch go Garvey, so will most likely be Schiff in November.

But I can see the Democrat party holding back the election results until Schiff can regain the lead to avoid embarrassment and giving Garvey the ammunition to run as the "front-runner."

IF the Democrat doesn’t win, the “count” will continue for up to 2 years, to make sure enough ballots are “found” to put them over the top.

...and we say that Russia doesn’t have free elections.

When I grew up, we had NO EARLY VOTING, and with very few exceptions, we knew who won an election within 8 hours of poll closing, and usually MUCH SOONER.

Is it really THAT HARD to that day, even if it might mean ‘inconvenient’ people, like Trump, getting elected. At least the voice of the voters might be heard.

Is an RCV voting machine, by definition, computerized voting? I would think so, no human would attempt the process, as I understand it.

Does California use a RCV - Ranked Choice Voting system?
I thought I had read somewhere they adopted that.

The only reason Garvey is running well is because Schiff spent tens of millions of dollars running ads on Garvey’s behalf.

....So let me get this right....Schiff is giving $$$ to Garvey????

They already counted all the votes. The hard work is creating a stack of ballots that can justify the count that they intend to publish.

it always takes a month for California to count all its votes. Always. This is nothing new. It shouldn’t take so long, but it does.

California allows mail in ballots to arrive by the Friday or Saturday after the election to be counted. A majority of Californians vote by mail because they want to. It’s popular. So every signature must be verified, etc etc etc.

The state is not Delaware sized and total votes are more than the population of over 30 states in a general election.

No. They have a “jungle” primary. That’s where the top two vote getters move on to the general election. It matters not which party they are from so for the past few election cycles, it has been two Democrats vying for their Senate seats.

Democrats are about 2:1 in California, or so I am told. So it makes sense Garvey would get about 1/3 of the votes while the three Democrats split the rest.

Schiff spent his PAC money promoting Garvey with ads tying him to Trump thus pushing GOP voters to vote for Garvey instead of trying to defeat Schiff. It was smart enough for the primary as long Schiff felt he would beat out the other two Democrats. That way he would be looking at a 2:1 vote advantage in the General. But, California 86’d Grey David, elected Arnold Schwarzenegger, and a few other GOP governors not to mention Reagan and Nixon though that 10+ years ago. With Trump on the ballot in 2024, that may bring out the TDS Democrat vote. Garvey will have to get smart about how to defeat Schiff by bringing over a fair number of Democrats - though seemingly only maybe 25% of them. California does seem to like the celebrity angle. And there is a lot of dirt on Schiff that could be used. Garvey will look at the people who campaigned to prevent Schiff from being appointed California’s AG. Schiff, as a state senator, wrote legislation that built prisons for kids and made it easier for judges to take kids away from their parents. The far left has reason to vote against Schiff which is why he had a two viable Democratic competitors in the primary.

I lived in California for 30 years and never had to wait weeks before getting the results.

Fortunately, I moved away before mail-in voting began. Unfortunately, I was there for the very first "jungle" top-two primary, in my case between Pete Stark and Eric Swalwell.

We used to have the total before midnight on election day, I guess all that technology they wasted money on doesn’t really work so well...

Waiting to see how many votes they need to steal the primary for Schiff. Does California allow write ins in general elections? Garvey should campaign for that.

Schiff is slightly ahead...

Garvey leads in 37 counties...Schiff in 21...but his are the biggest.

2 other Dems have about 1.4M votes...those will all go to Schiff...the final run-off won’t be close.
