No Labels Considering Georgia Republican Geoff Duncan to Lead ‘Unity’ Presidential Ticket
WSJ ^ | 3.8.2024 | Cameron McWhirter

The centrist group No Labels is considering picking Geoff Duncan, the Republican former lieutenant governor of Georgia, to lead a “unity” presidential ticket, people familiar with the discussions said.

The group’s delegates voted Friday to press forward with its efforts to field an independent presidential ticket, based on the idea that voters want an alternative to President Biden and former President Donald Trump, but didn’t name any candidates.

Some prominent politicians who had been on the group’s radar—including Republicans Nikki Haley and Larry Hogan and Democrat Joe Manchin—have ruled out making presidential bids. If No Labels can’t succeed in recruiting sufficiently high-profile candidates, that could drain enthusiasm among delegates for moving forward with an independent ticket, according to people familiar with its discussions.

Duncan didn’t respond to calls for comment Friday.

“No Labels hasn’t yet chosen a ticket and any names floating around are being put out there by someone else,” Ryan Clancy, the group’s chief strategist, said in a statement Friday.

Duncan, 48 years old, served as Georgia’s lieutenant governor from 2019 to early 2023. He was elected to office alongside Republican Gov. Brian Kemp. Because Duncan doesn’t have a big national profile, it would likely take considerable effort and money to introduce him to voters around the country.

No Labels is a Left Wing organization designed to hurt Trump. They will not choose a Democrat for the top of the ticket. Only a Republican that they think may pull some votes from President Trump.

Almost any Republican would pull more votes from Biden than Trump. How many people could actually be a net loss for Trump? Maybe Ted Cruz, Rand Paul, Jim Jordan, I guess DeSantis. But they ain’t running

No Labels insists on labeling people to establish a balanced, but labeled, slate.

So Haley, labeled by No Labels as a Republian refused to get on the No Labels bandwagon because she didn't want a running mate labeled by No Labels as a Democrat.

So, you needed to be labeled by No Labels first in order to be on the No Labels ticket.

The No Labels folks are exhausting because they need to label people first then use the labels to slot candidates into the No Labels organization.

Why, I bet dozens of people have heard of this guy, and are clamoring for him to be President!

No labels,..

"No Labels Considering Georgia Republican Geoff Duncan to Lead ‘Unity’ Presidential Ticket"

....... I'm Gonna step out on a limb here and Say .... Joe Manchin and Mitt Romney might be the main folks being considered.

...... After all .... They were actually sitting together last night, in the Middle of the Chamber, at the SOTU Address for all to see ..... Probably for this specific reason for a Unity Ticket.

..... However, Of course one or both of them will probably need to declare themselves as LGBTQ and the other would have to wear shoe polish on the face to appease the INC (Insane Nation Crowd).

The only one I can see who's truly in the middle, rather than just another let's see how long we can keep the con running, is former Democrat Tulsi Gabbard.

Tulsi Gabbard has a lifetime ACU rating of 7%. She is just running a better con than the others. She might not be as bad as the Squad members but is not a centrist, not even close.

I’ll run. I read a book once about how a guy who had run for president on a minor party ticket got treated great when he went overseas, and told everyone he was a candidate in a recent election for president.

It would look great on my resume, too.

Here is some data that shows the effect of anti-Trump campaigns.

Nikki Haley spent $100 million attacking President Trump starting in November and running through March.

Now watch this:

https://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/polls/president-primary-r/2024/national/

Before Nikki ads:

Trump polls 60% nationally among potential primary voters

After Nikki ads:

Trump polls 77%.

How could this happen?

Lol.

Nikki was on every mass media talk show for months attacking President Trump, but Republicans were not watching them.

Likewise she was advertising on television and cable shows-saturating the air waves.

Only Democrats and Democrat leaning voters were watching them.

Here is the best part—the only “Nikki” that Republicans heard about were her wild anti-Trump claims that were filtered by pro-Trump commentators of all kinds, mostly on the Internet.

That just further mobilized Trump supporters.

This is exactly the way a third party anti-Trump campaign would work.

It mobilizes the Trump supporters while they are immune to the anti-Trump propaganda.

The only voters attracted to the third party buzz—thousands of television talk show appearances later—are potential Biden supporters.

This grift only has a chance to affect anything with a Haley, Manchin, Romney, or Christie at the helm. Some D-list dork from Georgia that nobody outside of that state has ever heard of isn’t going to move the needle.
They would even be better off with a celebrity or athlete or a Mark Cuban type.

Won’t hurt trump at all. He got 74 million in 2020. Biden won’t get 81 million this time. According to many here, trump is going to get 81 million in 2024.

>>Good only helps Trump<<

Exactly. This is the rule of unintended consequences. (Example B) Fani Willis lawfare pursuit of Trump will motivate Georgia to go red in November.
