Civil rights attorney and talk radio host Robert Patillo plans to run against Fulton Superior Court Judge Scott McAfee, who has been overseeing the high-profile election interference case against former President Donald Trump and others, according to reports from the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
Patillo will attempt to qualify as a candidate for the position on Thursday, according to multiple sources.
He is the former executive director of the Rainbow PUSH Coalition, the social justice and civil rights group founded by Rev. Jesse Jackson. He’s also a criminal defense attorney, cable news guest and a former candidate for statehouse who has previously billed himself as a conservative Democrat.

It’s all about corruption in Fulton county.
Well, how convenient and timely. What a way to pressure the judge to go easy on Fauni’s fanny, probably by greasing the skids to get a competitor in the mix, knowing that this ties the judge’s hands with giving a ruling he may not otherwise do. SMH.
I guess there are some good folks in Fulton County but from all I’ve seen and read in the past couple of months McAfee, if elected, would be a step up and Patillo would be a swan dive into hell for Fulton County.
And racial animus toward white people.
If he cheats just to win reelection, he can win his re-election and destroy his integrity at the same time.
In fact, he might destroy his integrity and still lose the election.
As an aside, Fulton is a majority-black county. He may lose no matter how he rules.
The system is completely corrupt.
What, doe he think that if he wins Judge McAfee’s seat that he would take over the Trump case?
That’s a good point. I don’t have the answer.
This was done to try and stop him from kicken GFani off the court!
Actually, just plurality black. Black 45, white 44.5, pure white, only about 38%.
Disgusting. He’ll drop out if the “right” decision is made. This is extortion.
Time for him to ignore the pressure & do what is right. He can always fall back on being a lawyer or perhaps be given another judgeship. If Trump becomes president, he may even reward hm. That is how he should think & proceed.
The threat is likely to insure he rules “the right way”...
