It started out with a joke between them, as they were looking at wedding venues: “Can you imagine a wedding a Mar-a-Lago?”
The National Log Cabin Republicans, a pro-gay rights group, had hosted two galas at Mar-a-Lago before, once in 2020 and again in 2022, so they decided to see if it a wedding there would be “in the realm of possibility.”
The couple, John Sullivan and Dan Medora, reached out to good friends Bill White and Bryan Eure, who then reached out to former President Donald Trump and ran it by him. The next day, they got a call from a woman at Mar-a-Lago. “Can we talk about dates?” she said.

But the main attraction, obviously, was Trump. He received a standing ovation after delivering an enthusiastic affirmation of gay rights not often heard in the GOP.
“We are fighting for the gay community, and we are fighting and fighting hard,” the former president and 2024 candidate said. “With the help of many of the people here tonight in recent years, our movement has taken incredible strides, the strides you’ve made here is incredible.”

And do you think it would have been better for Trump to have said, “Hell No!!!” and have the MSM rant about Trump’s “homophobia” 24/7 for the next five months?
They said since their wedding, they have ironically experienced hate from the gay left.

I think it is a good move. I don’t think Trump likes gays; he tolerates them. But he may win a few fence sitters with this.
I agree! Transgendered and incestuous couples should get married at Mar-A-Lago too! And if Christian conservatives speak out against it, they're just helping Hillary/Biden win, because it'll be way worse when they do it.

Well they hate his guts no matter what, but that goes back to the end of my first point. The homo couple did this so if Trump declined, they can be paraded on all the news channels. This is the CO baker thing all over again.
I voted for him on Friday, imperfect vessel that he is. Voted for Cruz, too, FWIW. The rest of my vote doesn't matter, thanks to redistricting, I now live in a 75% Democrat district, thanks in part to the Texas RINO Party.
