Trump ordered to pay full $454 million fraud judgment, but can apply for loans during appeal
CNBC ^ | 2/28/24 | Ed Jones

An appeals court judge Wednesday denied a request by former President Donald Trump to pause enforcement of the $454 million judgment he was ordered to pay in his New York civil fraud case.

But Judge Anil Singh’s ruling in Manhattan Supreme Court allows Trump and his two adult sons to stay in control of their companies while the former president seeks to appeal the massive fine.

The Trumps can also continue to apply for loans from financial institutions chartered or registered in New York during this time, the judge ruled.

There are already beads of sweat and desperation by Swamp Rats that if (when) Trump wins, he will exact revenge and payback on his enemies.

God, I hope so.

What bank in NY would agree to a Trump loan without the nightmare of a vengeful Letitia James in their thoughts.

Ugh Judge Singh? I had one case before him once. NOT impressed. Our client got railroaded by a large insurance company who took the position that our client could not sue on standing grounds (he was a judgment creditor of an insured but only became a judgment creditor after the insurance company disclaimed coverage, and won, because the insured went bankrupt and didn’t defend the disclaimer). Actually Judge Singh took over for a judge who retired who was very receptive to our position, and then retired. The first judge ruled in our favor that our client had standing, but Judge Singh, while technically bound by the first judge’s ruling essentially ruled “well you can sue, but you can’t actually win.”

Is he in the Appellate Division now? Yikes.

There is no justice system in the US any longer.

It is them against ‘just us’.

From ABC's coverage:

Trump still has at least two opportunities to appeal the ruling -- first with a panel of judges at New York's Appellate Division, First Department next month, then with New York's Court of Appeals if the first attempt is unsuccessful.

Any loan from the Feds exposes Trump to more risk of fraud. It’s another opportunity for entrapment.

You don’t know how appeals, appeal bonds and stuff works. It’s about to get very complicated (and expensive) with probable collections. Trump has been in serious jeopardy since the case was filed. And not because it was “fixed.” Trumps typical hiring of accountants/lawyers from firms like Howard, Fine and Howard will not work. Republicans aren’t going to pay for these lawyers, either. Mexico didn’t build the wall.

$454 million judgment

Look, I couldn't help but notice that the number of this judgment = "דין שמים", so I just wanted to mention it.

“ The more the US Left and DC deep-state criticizes Putin, the more they look exactly like the caricature of him they created.”

Putin is a deadly tyrant.

But I’d take him a thousand times before I’d take the U.S. government once. He’s bad, but the consummate evil on Earth is fascist America.

What? So they can fraudulently charge him with bank fraud by over-assessing his property values/assets in order to get those loans?
