Sen. Lindsey Graham booed at Trump South Carolina victory speech
Axios ^ | February 24, 2024 | Erin Doherty

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) was booed during former President Trump's remarks Saturday following his projected South Carolina primary victory.

The big picture: It's not the first time the South Carolina senator, who has relatively low approval ratings in his state, has faced an unfriendly Trump crowd, particularly in his home state.

Graham was met with boos from the crowd while appearing on stage beside Trump in Columbia after he was projected to beat former UN Ambassador Nikki Haley.

"I love him, he's a good man," Trump said. "We have a highly opinionated group of people here."

Graham during his brief remarks called Trump "the most qualified man to be president United States."

Driving the news: "Another man, not a lot of people know him, he doesn't do too much television, he happens to be a little bit further left than some of the people on this stage, but I always say, when I'm in trouble on the left, I call up Lindsey Graham," Trump said.

Trump has previously joked Graham could help him score "liberal" votes.

I think Trump brought him out because he knew he would get booed.

It was Trump’s way of reminding him that he needs to toe the line.

John Kaisch, the Ohio Governor in 2016 beat Trump if I’m not mistaken. Howard Dean beat John Kerry in Vermont when the nomination was all but over, Hillary beat Obama etc. Haley hot 33 percent in NV where she didn’t campaign and had no opponent and got 40% campaigning hard, spending a lot in a state where she was twice elected Govenor. So the way I see it, all she did was worth 7%. If she did absolutely nothing 33% are still mad and don’t want Trump to be the nominee.

I'm not sure if Haley's numbers are total or split by Republicans and cross-over Democrats. Given how Biden is unapposed, I don't trust Haley's numbers in open primary states where they democrat voted doesn't really matter.

Fox News was making a big deal of the NH and SC report of 59% of Haley voters will not vote for Trump. It makes me wonder if those are mostly cross-over Democrats saying that.

It was a lound boo, that Lindsey got

We love Trump, but we are not mind numb robots, conservatives don’t support Lindsey or we don’t think the covid shot is safe, and we hate when Trump brags about Warp Speed on the killer shot.
We aren’t in a cult and belive the leader is perfect.
He is the best President in my life time., but he is wrong on some things.

Without John McKook at his side (or perhaps behind him) he is just another RINO with nothing but seniority to empower him.

Trump is gravely mistaken for having anything to do with the puke Senator Graham. He’s just another NWO criminal who will stab Trump in the back at every chance.

Yea, 25% of Republicans in SC not voting for Trump is most likely junk science. If you break it down though a
You’ll see that her support is probably lots of independents leaning left and Democrats, if most of the 59% comes from that part of her vote then it might check out. Id have to see the identification of her votes and i can work ot out. SC isn’t going for Biden. A more telling question would have been to ask those same voters of they planned to vote for Birdbrain in November.

He’ll be very useful in the General in Nebraska, Arizona, Georgia. Look, I havr not affinity for the RINOS but it’s time to focus on what it will take to take down the Rat candidate. Having MCCains long time friend pushing for you in AZ is something...like it or not.

It's Operation Chaos on Haley. Democrats are crossing over to inflate Haley's numbers to keep the primary going, just like Rush Limbaugh implored people do with Clinton and Obama in 2008.

"If for some reason Trump isn’t the nominee and it is Haley, she will lose SC to Biden because Republicans will stay home."

This old lady in Central New York State will stay home as well.

True, but it’s not as simple as Trump getting all 50 delegates because he won the state.

He gets 29 delegates for winning the state.
Then he gets 3 more for each of the congressional districts he wins.

There are 7 districts and so far he won 6 and Haley won 1.

So he won 29+3*6=47, and she won 3

Trump must keep Lindsey Graham around to find out what the democrats are doing. Graham stabs both sides when convenient.
