A staggering 53% of Jewish voters in New York state plan on voting for former President Donald Trump in the November election, a new Siena College poll found.
Just 44% of the Chosen People in the deep-blue state will back President Joe Biden in the race, according to the survey, which polled 65 Jews out of 806 total voters.
The spike in New York Jewish voters backing Trump has come in the wake of the murderous Oct. 7 Hamas terrorist attacks on Israel, with antisemitic hate crimes and anti-Israel protests surging in New York City.
President Biden, meanwhile, has lashed out at Israel in its war against Hamas while the Democratic Party has come under fire for tolerating far-left lawmakers in its ranks who sympathize with terrorists, according to Democratic political consultant Hank Sheinkopf.
“The 11th commandment for Jews is ‘Thou shall vote Democrat.’ Now there’s a 12th commandment: ‘Maybe you should be a Republican, darling,'” Sheinkopf quipped.
The latest polls demonstrate a shift in the New York Jewish vote that is a “clear trend, long in the making,” Sam Markstein, national political director for the Republican Jewish Coalition, wrote on X.

Yeah, I heard that blacks were also going to defect for O’Bummer’s second term. They still voted for him. Just like liberal Jews. It’s hardwired in their DNA.

The sample size was eight hundred people for the poll—only eighty of them identified as Jews.
This is a very small sample size.
They would need to poll one thousand Jews in New York State to get a sample worth discussing.
Yeah, and how many BLACKS?
Trump has the possibility of breaking the stranglehold the Dems have had over Blacks and JEWS for decades.
Even a modest erosion in support from EITHER group would be DEVISTATING to the DEMON-RATS.

Big picture: it’s meaningless unless this trends down ballot to change the composition of legislatures.

It seems possible to me that Jews living in Brooklyn would vote for Trump. But Jews living in Westchester...Nassau...and elsewhere? No friggin way.

24% of Jews (nationwide) voted for Trump in 2016, and 30% in 2020. Encouraging trend. Wouldn’t surprise me if Trump got at least 40% this time, which is what Reagan got in 1984. But 50% (either nationally or in NY) seems a bit optimistic. We shall see.
About 7% of the population of New York State is Jewish.
The current population of New York State is 19.5 million people.
That means that there are 1.4 million Jewish people in New York State.
Hispanics are moving our way too.
