Oh for pity sakes. The man has always been an entrepeneur. Selling sneakers beats the selling of national security secrets to other countries as Joe Biden family and other RATs do to fund their campaigns and personal endeavors.

You want to talk cheesy? Biden, Jill, Hunter, are what is cheesy.

This country is in trouble and Trump is being criminally targeted and personally robbed with lawfare. That is cheesy.

Nobody is forced to buy this product or anything else unless they want too.

As opposed to Creepy Joe’s sniffing and groping kids, showers with his daughter and his son Hunter’s cocaine in the Whitehouse?

What does that have to do with anything?

I said I'd take the flaming, but that's not even a decent try at addressing my point.

Try again or go away.

Trump didn’t make these, Trump didn’t design these, Trump didn’t sell these or did he get the income from the sale of these sneakers. The organization who manufactured these shoes and sold them paid a license fee to use Trumps name.

...I'm not sure how I feel about Trump marketing his presidential run like this...

Trump has been a salesman his whole life. MAGA was an advertising slogan. Since it helps American liberty I'm all for it.

Build support where you can. Some of it will trickle over to others too.

If a significant portion of the black vote goes to Trump (males, females, whatever — doesn’t matter) then thr game is changed.

It was bad enough when he sold EFT “trading cards”, but now Trump Sneakers?

I’ll do my best to educate a FReeper bro.

Politics is downstream of culture.

Trump arrested and booked: street cred. Shared experience. PR. “One of us.” Expands the base.

Trump shoes: what people have their own shoes? Celebrities, top athletes. Also great American branding. Expands base. Big waves in a sub culture that would ordinarily vote democrat.

NTF: same strategy. Young culture and voters, happening area.

All of these are cultural events that make huge waves in communities that expand the base.

Politics is downstream of culture.

No, that's criminal and they should pay for it.

This country is in trouble and Trump is being criminally targeted and personally robbed with lawfare. That is cheesy.

No, that is also criminal and I hope that every one of these Soros-funded DAs that ran for office on the "I'll Get Trump" platform all end up in prison. Fani is well on her way.

I have no problem with Trump being an entrepreneur, and I have huge problems with the insane Left using the FBI, CIA, NSA, and the FISA courts to illegally spy on Trump, and using state and county prosecutors to illegally target Trump with phony charges, and state legislatures passing extensions to the statute of limitation laws so a private citizen can sue Trump for sexual harassment that never happened.

If Trump weren't running for President, I wouldn't have an issue with him selling shoes, baseball cards, or locks of his hair.

But it doesn't seem "Presidential" to sell branded gold sneakers to me. Maybe it does to you, and that's OK.

“ It just seems so cheesy, and unPresidential to me.”

This is what people do. They hate Trump for having a personality, pretending that everything is fine A massive invasion, complete money laundering operation in Eastern European country that isn’t a democracy, nato now even EU, depleting our resources, driving our debt to 34 T and growing, just on interest, replacing our law enforcement and military w non US, perverting prepubescent kids in government schools dragging Trump and his staff into courts, jails, interfering in the presidential election - again

A Trump can’t sell a product because of tge way it makes yo yo feel. No legal citation other thsn it makes someone who does nothing about any of this it makes him feel something a bit negative

That’s the standard

A most Trump haters will tell you the same. The just don’t feel comfortable as they shut down all reasonable discussion with disdain.

To you maybe, as white rubber boots and elevator shoes are preferable to your type.

LOL! I get your point. Is it grift? I'll leave that for others to decide.
That being said. Trump is a Brand. Not just a candidate. Its what he does, and he is successful at it. Hopefully he will be successful in November. Trump 2024 ;)

Ouch, that stung.

I pay JimRob every month so I can post here. Do you? DO YOU???

If you do even on scintilla of research you'll find I'm far from a never-Trumper, but you have already demonstrated that you never let facts get in the way of a good hissy-fit.

Go cry in the corner.

Hey, a fella with the screen name “bigdaddy” would fit nicely with a pair of these boots.

You should buy a pair. Maybe if you put a custom order in to have the elevator option, Trump could work something out for you.

He is a pretty nice guy.
