Since it’s a medical school, maybe they can explain how once eradicated diseases are making their way here now.

Refugee crises are driven by episodic factors like war or natural disasters. The underlying idea in refugee situations is that they are temporary and that most refugees will eventually go home. That doesn't always happen in practice, but it's always the default position.
What is happening now is not a refugee crisis. It is mass migration driven by mass flight from failed states. Failed states are caused by failed cultures. We can all sympathize with individuals fleeing from West Crapistan, looking for a better life elsewhere. But there are limits to what host nations can absorb -- and we are not only massively exceeding those limits; we are importing millions of people from failed cultures into a desperately sick society in which our own dominant elites, and most of the schools, insist that all cultures are equal and that the norms of successful cultures must be dismantled to make refugees from failed cultures feel at home.
A medical school that lies about this is par for the course. Perhaps its graduates should be conscripted into a global health service and assigned to 20 years of service in the failed states valorized in their mythology.
