If you built an AR-15 platform rifle with a bump stock, Trump banned it. You had to pay out of pocket to convert it to a legal "Trump-compliant" weapon.

He's already signaled that he'd entertain the thought of an assault weapons ban. He mentioned it during his first term before his handlers told him to STFU about it unless he wanted to lose his re-election.

You said Trump banned guns. He didn’t so that is dishonest. He banned an aftermarket stock that is mostly useful for wasting lots of ammo quickly.

The Real Deal is that we KNOW EVERY Democrat Presidential wannabe is rabidly anti-2A!
That is all we really need to know.
I’ve spent the bulk of my political volunteering and monetary contributions for the past 30 years on RKBA issues and candidates. And the gun nuts and activists I’ve been hanging out with for those decades all were as irked by some of Trump’s wobbling on gun rights as anyone. But, the fewer degrees of separation one has, the more confidence people express in Trump being genuinely committed to the 2A.
He’s not a gun guy though, and he makes some bad calls.
He’s an order of magnitude better than any alternative, when you get right down to it.
As to the bump stock ban, I’ve been upbraided more than once by my RKBA friends when I say I don’t really care that much as a practical matter. They’re toys, with no tactical utility.
Given a choice, I’d be fine with no bump stocks and a repeal of the NFA.

I’ve fired a weapon with a bump stock. Fun for about 60-90 rounds. Boring for me after that.
But the 2nd Amendment doesn’t hinge on what I think is boring or you thinking they’re toys. It does hinge on the Executive Branch classifying a gun part to be the equivalent of a machine gun. That’s administrative power - deep state power. Agreed that President Trump as a whole is better than any Democrat [in the last 100 years] President. But that’s small comfort for the thousands of people who became lawbreakers if they retained their bump stocks.
