Boris Johnson calls Tucker Carlson a ‘traitor’ over ‘ludicrous interview’ with Vladimir Putin

Former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson responded to Russian President Vladimir Putin’s allegations from his interview with Tucker Carlson.

During the interview posted to X on Thursday night, Putin claimed that Johnson “dissuaded” Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky from coming to an agreement with Russia and avoiding a war entirely. According to Putin, an agreement had already been outlined in a document.

“He put his signature and then he himself said, ‘We were ready to sign it, and the war would have been over long ago. However, Prime Minister Johnson came to talk us [Ukraine] out of it, and we’ve missed that chance,’” Putin said via a translator.

Johnson wrote an op-ed in the Daily Mail on Friday and also issued a video response the outlet posted on X. The former prime minister joined in a chorus of political leaders that condemned Carlson to agree to an interview but was among the few mentioned by name by Putin.

It’s a good thing Boris Johnson’s opinions don’t matter much any more. He obviously believes that what he thinks still matters. He’s wrong.

“...wrong and dishonest as usual.”

Ok, we’ll believe you - Boris Johnson just happened to go to Kiev back then on holiday...nothing to do with the war going on, nope, nothing.

Is was PURE COINCIDENCE that Ukraine’s demands were increased to the point of making talks impossible JUST AFTER Johnson left Kiev.

Yep, sounds plausible to me, as I happened to go to Kiev on holiday last year, for some peace and quiet also.

(must suck to have this job assigned to you)

Putin repeats ‘nonsense’ claim Boris Johnson scuppered efforts to end Ukraine invasion

So where's this "huge document" that Putin speaks of?

“So where’s this “huge document” that Putin speaks of?”

Ask Forbes, or ask Ukraine’s negotiating team.

(but keep digging, it’s fun to finally be putting you guys to bed)

“Ukrainian and Russian negotiators have reached agreement on enough elements of a potential peace agreement that it is ready to be discussed between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, A TOP UKRAINIAN NEGOTIATOR SAID Saturday”

“Show me the “paper.” Does it exist or not?”

I don’t work for either the Ukrainian or Russian government, nor did I write the Forbes piece that I linked to.

This is NOT DIFFICULT to understand and if you continue to HARASS ME in this way, I will again have to report you to the mods, and you remember what happened last time (and next time they may not bring you back).

I don’t need a British person telling me who is a traitor. To those worthless monarchists the Founding Fathers were traitors.

In that light, any American should be proud to be called a traitor by a limie who considers himself a subject.

We fought two of them against these idiots. And then we bailed them out in two more.

I’ve never been a fan of the Brits.

Boris J. calling Tucker a traitor? For interviewing Putin? That makes no sense. Is he calling Megyn Kelly and others who interview Putin also traitors? Boris sounds like out of “1984.”

Did Johnson ever think Carlson might be on to something: let Putin speak, and make a fool of himself?

The European mentality toward censorship is foolish. Holocaust denial is a crime there.

Of course the Holocaust was real! Holocaust deniers should be allowed to speak, and show the world what jackasses they are. Censoring and jailing them makes them “martyrs” and bolsters antisemitic conspiracy theories.

Thanks for your excellent reply to Boris the loser!:

A Brit, telling us, who is and is not an American Patriot. They don’t even have free speech rights in the UK.

Laughable.

Boris, born in NYC, had to renounce his possible US citizenship to become PM, so maybe he knows something about being a turncoat ...
