Be Prepared for a Unanimous Supreme Court Ruling in Trump’s Favor (Daily Beast not happy)
Daily Beast ^ | 2/8/24 | Shan Wu

The only question left after today’s Supreme Court arguments over whether former President Donald Trump can be disqualified is how many different justices will write concurring opinions in what is likely to be a 9-0 decision in favor of Trump.

Asked to review the decision by the Colorado Supreme Court that found Trump is disqualified under Section 3 of the 14th Amendment, and removed him from that state’s presidential primary ballot, the questions by conservative and liberal justices alike showed that the high court has lost its way.

I say 5-4. No way the Uber Libs support Trump. They will vote NO in protest. Legally it should be 9-0 for Trump

Yep. 7-2 at best. Before today I thought a 5-4 loss was possible. If there is a way for the SCOTUS to prevent states from removing Trump (or anyone else) from the November ballot just “because” without actually having a vote count, they would do it.

The Supremes know that if they allow states to remove Trump, there are other states, “Texas” for one that will immediately remove Biden.

All these people arguing against Trump, and many of the ones in his favor — and, apparently, the SCOTUS judges — are amazingly ignorant of the history of the Fourteenth Amendment, section 3. Congress REMOVED the “infirmary”, I.e., the prohibition on holding office based on previous insurrection over a hundred years ago — exactly according to the last sentence of section three — look it up! Sheesh…

I say 6-3.

With 5 definite yeses, there's no way Roberts goes turncoat on this nonsense.

Sotomayor was off in a cloud of confusion. I wouldn’t be
surprised if she comes up with an opinion backing Leftist
states.

Justice Jackson surprised the heck out of me though.

Spot on.

..... There is a new game being played in America for this Election Cycle.

..... Democrats tow the Party Line ..... The dysfunctional Republicans attempt to tow the Constitutional Line. Unified Democrats minimize the Constitutional authority in their Master Plan which is controlled and funded by the puppet-masters of the Global Agenda. The dysfunctional Republicans attempt to tow the Constitutional Line which is minimalized by the unified controlling Democrat Party and their allegiance to the new Global Agenda.

The pragmatic decision would be a 9-0 or a large majority decision to keep Trump on the ballot. The red states will retaliate by removing Biden from the ballot. The other blue states would follow Colorado's lead. If there are two rival Presidents, that would lead to civil war, more like the Spanish Civil War of the 1930s or the English Civil War of the 1640s. We may wind up with an American Franco or Cromwell or alternatively an American Lenin or Mao.

Kagan will with the majority and possibly Brown-Jackson. 8-1 or 9-0.

SotoMayor is a bit of a mush-mind. I enjoy watching Kagan think and speak, even if I don’t agree with her. But SotoMayor is totally different. Not that bright a mind at all. I expect people at that level to be scintillating, where she’s just blah.

How long after the ruling is announced do the “PACK THE COURT!” cries start?

Both “The Hill” and “Slate” argue that Brown-Jackson is a vote for Trump.
