Both “The Hill” and “Slate” argue that Brown-Jackson is a vote for Trump.
You have it wrong in your numbers. If Kagan joined the 6 vote ‘conservative leaning majority, it’d be 7-2; if Kagan & Jackson-Brown joined the majority, it’d be 8-1. Never forget about Sotomayor, the wise Latina 🙄.
There are:
*3 right wing justices; Thomas, Alito & Gorsuch
(they are 100% absolute conservatives)
*2 usually conservative justices: Kavanaugh & Coney-Barrett
(they are 90% dependable conservatives)
*1 moderately conservative/issue dependent justice: Roberts
(He’s 60% conservative & 40% undependable moderate)
*2 usually liberal justice: Kagan & Jackson-Brown
(they are 90% dependable liberals, but rarely the worst)
*1 leftist justice: Sotomayor
(she 100% commie leftist wacko)
My guess that Colorado will be overturned by 7-2 or 8-1. I think Thomas, Alito, Gorsuch, Kavanaugh & Coney-Barrett will be a definite majority of five votes. Roberts will almost certainly see the writing on the wall & join them as a sixth vote. The question then becomes whether or how many liberal judges will join them. I’m pretty convinced that Kagan, not wanting to be viewed as a partisan hack during an election year, will join them as the seventh vote. I’m honestly not sure if Jackson-Brown will join them as an eighth vote. She’s so new & that makes her unpredictable. One thing I’m pretty sure of: Sotomayor will not join as a ninth vote. She is a verified insane leftist political hack & shouldn’t be on any court! 🤔😬
