Senate Border Bill is Worse Than Existing Immigration Law
conser ^ | February 5, 2024 | theconservativetreehouse.com

The Senate immigration bill, aka border security bill, is only designed as the cover for the Senate to send $60 billion more to Ukraine. The Ukraine money is the priority (corps/lobbyists) the border “security” bill is the technique to create and spend it.

That said, they certainly would not want to let a created and purposeful border crisis go to waste, and they didn’t. The latest version of the Senate Immigration Reform Bill is now public [SEE HERE]. The proposed Senate border security bill provisions are actually worse than existing non-secure border provisions.

PDF LINK AT SITE..................

America First Legal did a great job hitting on the top-line issues created by this new bill. In many ways, multiple ways, this supplemental “border security” bill makes things worse. The bill codifies into law the loopholes currently being used to increase the number of illegal aliens. By this design the bill makes things worse.

At this point, it is becoming difficult to not believe that these DC pukes are doing this just to rub it in our faces (aka “we’ll do whatever we want and you just try and stop us”).

Well, not surprising if Romney and others like him had anything to do with it.

Looks like this bill, as did the earlier Pelosi-Obama-Harry Reid- Health Care “substitute and rewrite the previous piece of paper”, replaces the words inside a bill that has been previously voted on.

This enables “amendments” to bypass the mandatory funding legislation by the House.

I see nothing wrong with existing laws, like any law or laws they are only effective as enforcement
Of course polititians have to be seen as “doing something” though more than often then”something “ is unnecessary or worse than what existed.

Both cases exist here.

Does anyone here believe that is a law was passed saying no one was allowed to cross illegally (not necessary as that exists already) that anything would change.

If wanting to leave your shit country is grounds for “immigration “ then there are no limits.

Last week Bidumb was blaming Congress for not passing laws to give him ‘power’ to shut down the border.

What an ass.

Like anybody believes that crap.

The first things he did was to overturn every EO that Trump had put in place to secure the border, and now he claims that he needs more power!...............

Bingo, now if that power passes and Trump wins watch the great 180 and dictator, racist talk fly

Other prediction if Trump wins, “safe and effective” will hit the memory hole, and all the vax issues will hit the beach like 200 meter tsunami and everyone will blame Trump

All I need to know about this mess is NO! It is not needed. Trump or anyone else with the will can close the border to all illegals today. No bill needed. Never mind the supplemental appropriations

Billions in supplemental appropriations. $20 billion should easily hire nearly 7,000 border patrol agents in addition to the 19,740 employed now and compared to the mere 4,139 of 1992. Mull that over for just a bit.

--$60.06 billion to support Ukraine as it fights back against Putin’s bloody invasion and protects its people and sovereignty. --14.1 billion in security assistance for Israel. --$2.44 billion to support operations in the U.S. Central Command and address combat expenditures related to conflict in the Red Sea. --$10 billion in humanitarian assistance to provide food, water, shelter, medical care, and other essential services to civilians in Gaza and the West Bank, Ukraine, and other populations caught in conflict zones across the globe. --$4.83 billion to support key regional partners in the Indo-Pacific and deter aggression by the Chinese government. --$2.33 billion to continue support for Ukrainians displaced by Putin’s war of aggression and other refugees fleeing persecution. --The bipartisan border policy changes negotiated by Senators Chris Murphy (D-CT), Kyrsten Sinema (I-AZ), and James Lankford (R-OK). --$20.23 billion to address existing operational needs and expand capabilities at our nation’s borders, resource the new border policies included in the package, and help stop the flow of fentanyl and other narcotics. --The Fentanyl Eradication and Narcotics Deterrence (FEND) Off Fentanyl Act. --$400 million for the Nonprofit Security Grant Program to help nonprofits and places of worship make security enhancements.

Looks like they missed a detail... or perhaps I didn't properly digest what I read on page 213 (emphasis mine).
(ii) LIMITATION .—Aliens described in subsection (a)(2)(C) from noncontiguous countries shall not be included in calculating the sum of aliens encountered.

So aliens not from Canada or Mexico (i.e. the rest of the world) don't count in the trigger for the border emergency authority.

OBTW, the border is never really "closed" as they still permit 1400 per day, even under the "emergency". Page 219:

(1) IN GENERAL .—During any activation of the border emergency authority under subsection (b), the Secretary shall maintain the capacity to process, and continue processing, under section 235 or 235B a minimum of 1,400 inadmissible aliens each calendar day cumulatively across all southwest land border ports of entry in a safe and orderly process developed by the Secretary.

(Why are we admitting "inadmissibles"?)

The bill essentially codifies into law what is going on now.

Uh, yeah, that’s the point. It puzzles me why at this late stage people can’t see they’re doing this intentionally.

Immigration

With hardly more than moderate attention, I have this understanding. The Leftist Democrats knew that they had to have a cultural shift to subvert the United States as a whole. Their answer was to import a subservient population that was acculturated to socialistic dependency.

What stood in the way were our sensible and time honored, legitament, immigration laws. With the help of RINOs looking for cheap labor ready to turn their heads as it occurred, Democrats foisted and elevated a portion of immigration law meant to help people fleeing oppressive states. This niche allowed people to claim a danger to themselves from persecution and thereby gain a free pass into the country while a panel of administrative judges (not real judges) appointed by Democrat controlled agencies could get around to ruling on each case. This system had zero controls.

Then the Democrats used government money to travel to Mexico and tell illegals how to present themselves as persecuted and endangered immigrants at our border where these inflated protections could be brought into play to allow them in the country without controls.

Trump had somewhat closed that false entry method by the end of his term and a variety of methods. Once Biden was in office they announced that the Game was On and everyone should get here as fast as possible. Now Democrats want to close the methods Trump used with RINO help by further institutionalizing the bureaucracy methods used in this sham.

RINO Republican Senators want media approval and think their constituents will be forgetful or confused so they support it with full understanding.

They must pay an electoral Price.

I think you’re reading this slightly wrong. I believe “noncontiguous countries” would cover anybody outside of Central and South America and Canada. The ‘contiguous’ United States typically refers to the lower 48 states that all border each other, excluding Hawaii and Alaska. Since all countries down to Tierra Del Fuego are ‘contiguous’, i.e they border each other, then they are the ones that are counted and not somebody from Africa, the Levant or ALL of EurAsia.......................

Mystifies me as well. Since coming down that golden escalator, Donald J. Trump has proven to be the greatest truth telling substance in the multiverse as virtually every element of the leftists and, for that matter, the GOPe, has admitted who and what they are. Journalists, for example, used to swear up and down that they were objective, but since Trump announced, they tell us they are biased because they have to combat him and his movement.

With this out in the open finally, you can now look back at all the times you heard someone on the left say that if you don't like something, you can just change the channel or the station/read something else/listen to something else/look elsewhere and know that they were only to referring to their material. If it's not their material, they want to ban it and they tell you so. They have speech codes at universities and colluded bans on social media. Liz Cheney, Paul Ryan, Mitch McConnell, Mitt Romney, the Lincoln Project, the Bush family, and now Nimarata Haley openly go after Trump supporters as enemies. That would be us. Enemies. Twitter/X is a different place including once again having Trump on there since Elon Musk took over. More evidence.

And yet with all of that, people are still surprised that this bill is not just a bad bill, but designed specifically to be bad and institutionalize what should be illegal much the same way as Bathhouse Barry Obama with a cellphone and a pen institutionalized the illegals known as dreamers. I'd ask what's it going to take, but I don't think it can take anything with people this dense.

I think you’re spot on. This is all a long game towards congressional seats based upon population to an ends of one party power. I hope that they paying an electoral price is still an option.
