The U.S. is sending additional air defenses to the base in northeast Jordan where three American soldiers were killed in a drone attack on Sunday, according to a U.S. official.
The outpost that was hit had not been the target of previous attacks and thus its air defenses were not as strong as U.S. bases in Iraq and Syria that have been under constant threat of attack since October, the official said. The air defense system heading to the outpost is designed to intercept drones.
About 350 U.S. Army and Air Force personnel are stationed at the outpost, known as Tower 22, according to the Defense Department.

I’ve read somewhere that the people at the base simply thought it was one of our own drones returning. Don’t these drones have friend or foe hardware like our jets?
Sounds like they need a software upgrade to differentiate incoming enemy drones from our hardware, when in simultaneous flight.

“Beefing up”? where was the Beef in the first place? looks to me like somebody cares more about pork than beef.
Have you seen the actual drone damage pictures from the base? I’ve been watching drones blow up troops, trenches, trucks, dug outs, generally damage tanks, but not doing the damage I assume took place here. Just because it’s the White House and Pentagon and I’m so conditioned to expects lies, I call BS on their explanation. My money is on missile.
If the gummit (especially this one) tells you something the opposite can be true. Occam’s Razor is likely the culprit and am not buying the excuse the WH gave, American equipment is too good for this and strikes me as incompetence at a certain person or level.
