Experts from the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in the US are warning that the country is close to a vaccination tipping point: a point where there aren't enough vaccinated people to protect the unvaccinated, leading to deaths that would otherwise have been prevented.
A new commentary, written by FDA Commissioner Robert Califf and FDA vaccine regulator Peter Marks, highlights COVID-19, influenza, and respiratory syncytial virus as three diseases where vaccinations are crucial in protecting communities.
Measles also gets a mention, with a record number of people no longer getting vaccinated against it. That has meant a number of recent outbreaks, including one in Ohio where 36 children had to be hospitalized because of complications from the measles infection.
"An increasing number of people in the US are now declining vaccination for a variety of reasons, ranging from safety concerns to religious beliefs," write the FDA experts.

you got a link for that
i had the usual vax as a child polio, smallpox and rumatic fever
otherwise my brother and i got all the rest of the childhood disease between 3 yrs old and 6 yrs old.
"Protecting other people" is not and has never been the effect of vaccination. These people are too malign to be considered idiots.
Exactly- Funny how they demand all this crap for citizens, but don’t for illegals-
The earlier live virus oral vaccines had a small failure rate, not small if you got polio. Those were the sugar cube ones. The injection ones used a killed virus. I got that one, too. There is concern that the live, but attenuated, sugar cube vaccine has led to a mutation that makes that form of vaccination ineffective.
There have also been reports of polio amongst illegals in NYC and, I’m sure, other places, particularly ones with illegals from the Middle East and Central Asia.
More BS from Pfizer via the CDC.
Oh, to continue, I hope none of your adult children get chickenpox. The lung lesions could kill them. And I hope you already have grandchildren, because rubella could make your sons sterile. And you’re of the age to get a fatal pneumonia from various bacteria and viruses.
Yeah, it's a real thing, and it's been true for as long as vaccines have been around. But there's an important additional factor.
Any communicable disease requires that it be passed to non-infected people, ideally infecting at least 2 other people for each sick one. Otherwise the disease burns itself out for lack of hosts.
So if a large enough percentage of a population is vaccinated -- AND (this is critical) VACCINATION INHIBITS TRANSMISSION -- then the unvaccinated population is relatively safe because there aren't enough of them to sustain the propagation of the disease.
The BIG LIE with the Covid-19 "vaccines" was that they inhibited transmission. Turns out, NOT SO. So while the general concept of protecting the unvaccinated is valid for true vaccines that inhibit transmission, it is not true of the Covid-19 "vaccines".
Same here.
I don’t remember people fearing measles. It was a regular childhood disease like chicken pox and mumps. Those diseases had been around for some time and everyone knew children who had gone through them successfully without any vaccine. In fact, people wanted their children to get these diseases so they would have immunity and not have to worry about catching them as adults. As for polio, I got both the injection and the sugar cubes and I never knew anyone who caught polio.
The medical profession is very different from when we were young. I don’t trust them either.
well that’s their plan isn’t it....have these sickly invaders bring in all sorts of diseases and then our govt demands that we all get new vaxxes...
Show us the vaccination records for the incoming illegals.

That was the second thing that crossed my mind.
Today, I was diagnosed with the Flu oops I mean Covid. The doctor ask if I was vaccinated I told him no. I told him my sore throat started Thursday then Saturday Cough and had waves of Nausea now I’m eating with no problem. Doctor told me it sounds like I’m getting over it and he wanted to prescribe Paxlovid but I refused because I felt I was improving, he said it sounds like my body is building immuity after my first bout I told the doctor this was not the first time I came down with it, last Dec I treated my Covid if it was the Flu. This took me aback what he said “Oh yes always treat Covid as if it was the flu” Whoa! was that a close admission? That Covid is the flu?
Now i am in a situation where my roommate is getting paranoid because she fears she will get covid and she wants to see her son who is dying of Cancer. I understand her position but no need to yell at me. I took a home test kit this morning told me I was positive and took another only to see it was positive. So I thought “well this Wednesday I have a doctor appt”. Well she went ballistic on me that I was planning to see my doctor this Wednesday, she wanted me to see one now, so you just read above she was not happy with the outcome. She stated that she could get covid when I leave my bedroom to go to the bathroom.
Also, please reconsider about about getting the jab my brother did not listen only to lose life 3 moths after getting the second jab.
Unless both of you have comorbidities, such as being very old, very overweight, lung damage from smoking, diabetic, or health problems due to alcoholism or drug addiction, you both will be just fine in a week or two.
They’ve already had chicken pox over a decade ago. They are healthy beyond others of this generation
Well, gee, that’s what happens when governments and the medical establishment discredit themselves by banning inexpensive medical treatments for a novel virus in favor of the corporate scum pushing questionable mRNA shots with government help.
Agreed. They have the blood of tens of thousands on their hands, IMO.
I had a similar experience last summer. I felt under the weather after visiting a street fair in Westminster, Maryland, so I went to the health clinic to get a COVID test. It turned out negative, and the doc also said that nowadays, I could get the test at a drugstore and do it myself, and that COVID was now being treated like a cold or the flu.
As for the mRNA shot, I got the two Pfizer shots. Shortly after the second one, I got about 2 or so months of heart palpitations. I did not connect the two events until I started reading about all these young people getting myocarditis from the shots. I have not gotten any boosters.
If your roommate is under 50 and has no co-morbidities, she should have little to worry about, IMO.
