Washington, DC, recorded in 2023 the highest annual number of homicides the city has witnessed since 1997 despite stringent gun control.
According to the Washington Post, 274 people were killed in the city in 2023.
D.C. saw a murder rate of 40 per 100,000 residents, making it “deadlier than 55 of the country’s 60 most populous cities, behind only New Orleans, Cleveland, Baltimore and Memphis.”
Washington, DC, New Orleans, Cleveland, Baltimore, and Memphis are all Democrat-run cities.

They should make it harder for folks in Northwest Pennsylvania to buy guns., that should solve the problems in DC.

its hilarious..here in Detroit, they are bragging there were only 252 murders here last year, lowest since 1966. Theres only one little problem with their stat...theres no one here left to murder anymore, they all left. Over a million people moved out of the city over the last 25 years. The population, once almost 2 million people, is now barely over 400,000, slightly more than Boston, but in an area 3 times bigger than Boston. Most of the city is now a barren, forgotten about wasteland. Almost as many deer here now than people...
The first gun control law was 1935. How’ s that working out?
We’ve been down the road before. We have the evidence. In the 1920s the government banned alcohol. As a result, only criminals could get alcohol.
These bans don’t work. All they do is handcuff the honest citizen.
So why isn’t it obvious to liberals? It’s because “This time it will be different.”
Of course it won’t be.
THIS! is why I want that brand spanking new FBI building built right there in the midst of DC. So the creeps who work there have to brave the gauntlet of crime EVERYDAY going to and from work.
Gee I wonder why that could be.....
