Hunter Biden faces 17 years in prison after spending millions on lavish hard-partying lifestyle while dodging taxes: special counsel

Hunter Biden was indicted Thursday on nine charges — including three felonies — in part for allegedly evading over $1 million in taxes while living a hard-partying “extravagant” life.

The three felonies leveled against President Biden’s 53-year-old son — who faces a maximum penalty of 17 years in prison if convicted on all counts — include one count tax evasion for his 2018 personal taxes and two counts of filing a false return for his 2018 personal taxes and on a corporate income tax return for his company Owasco, PC.

He has also been hit with six misdemeanor counts of failure to pay and failure to file charges for the 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019 tax years.

“The Defendant engaged in a four-year scheme to not pay at least $1.4 million in self-assessed federal taxes he owed for tax years 2016 through 2019,” Special Counsel David Weiss writes in the 56-page indictment out of the Central District of California.

“In furtherance of that scheme,” Weiss notes that Hunter “subverted the payroll and tax withholding process of his own company, Owasco, PC by withdrawing millions from Owasco, PC” and “spent millions of dollars on an extravagant lifestyle rather than paying his tax bills.”

“When he did finally file his 2018 returns, [Hunter] included false business deductions in order to evade assessment of taxes to reduce the substantial tax liabilities he faced as of February 2020,” the special counsel adds.

Judge Mark Scarsi, an appointee of former President Donald Trump, has been assigned to the new case.

True. Not sure who it will be to replace Sniffer McGee. I was pondering popularity in America today. I can’t think of many popular people today and I’m talking genuinely popular. Trump, Musk...who else? The dems bench is pathetic. They might think Moochelle is popular but is she?

Biden has deteriorated so much they might just go with Kamala and hope for the best.

I’m with Donald Trump Jr. he’ll get a slap on the wrist if that and he’s effectively blocked the congress from being able to investigate his truly egregious crimes.

How could you think that no one would notice? Just WoW!

Biden has been in Washington over 40 years. I bet it was oh so easy to fill their bank accounts at first. I wonder if they had a bookkeeper?

What about his white trash father? Is the Big Guy going to get 10% of Hunter’s sentence?

But it didn’t include conspiracy to commit treason, so it’s a whitewash.

As someone pointed out, this is just play acting.
They don't want Hunter to testify before Congress (interesting timing that this indictment just got launched after Comer's committee issued his subpoenas. A coincidence...). They'll claim that he can't appear before Congress because of this 'ongoing investigation'.
They'll drag out this indictment, and at the end of the day the DOJ will give him a slap on the wrist, or Joe will issue a pardon.
But no troublesome stories will be told before Congress.
We live in times where crookedness is rewarded, and we have a corrupt Justice System. The DOJ, FBI, 90% of the Judges ... they are all unethical scoundrels, not fit to be serving this Nation.

Go after Crackhead on taxes to divert attention from the Big Guy’s & the Biden Crime Family’s decades-long influence peddling, extortion, money laundering, bank/wire/mail fraud, and treasonous activities. La Cosa Nostra has nothing on this pile of human debris.

Have they conducted an armed commando raid on Hunters home? I’m sure it will happen any time now.
