The snubbing of Florida State University’s football team from the college football playoff on Sunday has gone political, with Donald Trump saying disgruntled fans should blame Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis for the team being left out of the final four.
In a post to Truth Social, the former president said FSU was “treated very badly” by the playoff’s selection committee, which voted to allow two one-loss teams—the University of Texas and University of Alabama—in over the undefeated FSU.
“(FSU) become the first Power Five team to be left out of the College Football Playoffs,” Trump wrote, omitting that FSU is the first undefeated power-five team to be left out. “Really bad lobbying effort…Lets blame DeSanctimonious!!!”

They’ll ask Desanctimonius about it, he’ll have to defend the decision and say they’re independent. Trump team cuts an advertisement to use in 3 months if Desanctimonius is still in. He gets a little bit of fun and an ad.

The fact that a team must “lobby” to get into the CFP is a stark testimony that the committee and process is corrupt. The Donald needs to lay off DeSantis. None of the other candidates can beat Trump, but the Donald can lose!
Sorta like when Auburn tried not to lose to Alabama on 4th and 31 by not putting any pressure on the QB. They let Jalen Milroe sit back long enough to shop around for an open receiver, so AU LOST!!!
It hasn’t anything to do with DeSantis: It has everything to do with the SEC’s influence over the CFP.
Trump enjoys taking pot shots at De Santis, but this is a little more than a stretch and it makes Trump look childish.

He is so upset with DeSantis that he sometimes makes off his rocker comments. This is ridiculously silly on the face of it.

Greatest Play in the history of College Football was the last play in the Orange Bowl game in 1965. Nobis was considered the greatest defensive player in college football that year. And, of course Namath was...........well......Namath.....arguably the greatest quarterback that ever lived when it came to winning. And, you had two of the greatest coaches EVER.....Darryl Royal and Bear Bryant. And, it was my first time to watch a “Color” football game!
On 4th-and-goal, just inches away from the goal line, Bryant dialed up a quarterback sneak and the athletic Namath attempted to dive in to the end zone.
He ran right in to Tommy Nobis.
Namath still claims he made it in to the end zone, but Nobis had him wrapped up short of the end zone when the whistle blew.
Another interesting stat is that overall Texas vs Alabama is 7-0-1 for Texas. I believe all of us down here in Central Texas want to see the Horns play the tide! That would be a HUGE game that no FAN would miss!

Wow, we’re down to this? I think Trump needs some intervention.
More important, is Donald Trump going to participate in the 4th Republican Debate? Because, coincidentally, it is being held on the campus of Alabama University.
Personally, I think they ought to give #1 and #2 a bye week and add #5 and #6 ranked to playoff because of the controversy. #3 plays #6, #4 plays #5...That way, Alabama and FSU can playoff each other.
