Trump stresses he wants to replace ObamaCare, not ‘terminate’ it

Former President Trump emphasized late Tuesday night that he wants to replace the Affordable Care Act — more commonly known as “ObamaCare” — rather than eliminate it entirely.

“Getting much better Healthcare than Obamacare for the American people will be a priority of the Trump Administration. It is not a matter of cost, it is a matter of HEALTH,” he wrote on Truth Social. “America will have one of the best Healthcare Plans anywhere in the world. Right now it has one of the WORST!”

“I don’t want to terminate Obamacare, I want to REPLACE IT with MUCH BETTER HEALTHCARE,” Trump added in a separate post. “Obamacare Sucks!!!”

Then he needs to start getting into specifics instead of just saying vagueries, like “I want to replace ObamaCare”.

My response is….why should he tell anyone his plan?

A sizable shrink of this country hates the man. Wants him in prison or worse.

Another chunk is so corrupt that they’ll do anything to keep the gravy train rolling.

I’m in the chunk that trusts the man. No apologies.

He’s up against lawyers, community organizers and grifters.

Well, that may be, but DJT promised everyone during his first election that one of the first things on his agenda was CC reciprocity and by god he was honed in like a laze...Oh, never mind.

Both of you comment that he needs to get specific. Ok.

Given the fact that he is going to be the Candidate unless something insane happens...and more and more, each day, it appears that these court cases are going to be complete disasters for the government...Deutsch Bank guy testifies that Pres Trump did nothing wrong....Smith is looking to go after Twitter users....Pres Trump just filed a motion to have the FBI/DOJ produce the files on what/if any of their personnel were in the crowd on Jan6-something they either deny or won’t comment on

Anywho:

Will either of you not vote for him if he doesn’t provide specifics?

Have either of you heard any of the others even talk about this? If so, have they provided specifics? And a bit more than, say, Ramaswamy saying that he will unilaterally eliminate the FBI, completely disregarding that pesky thing called, Congress.

On top of all of that, what is one of the most fundamental and consistent scare tactics that the Left uses EVERY election? Republicans are going to take away your Social Security, health care, Medicaid, Medicare, EBT, SNAP, TANF, WIC, blah effity blah blah blah.

So, Pres Trump provides the specifics that you want him to and then the Left demonizes and manipulates every letter in that detailed plan and from that day forth, commercials, billboards, radio ads, internet ads, poll after poll afer poll talking about how Pres Trump is going to take away your healthcare plan and people will be dying in the streets.

Do you really want to give the Democrats that much ammunition for their lies.

Are you kidding me ?

I voted for Romney over Obama, so of course I would vote for Trump over any Democrat, since by definition any and all Democrats are the enemy of America as founded.

Obama care is unconstitutional per the Constitution, its not an enumerated power, end of story.

So in this case he should just kill it and let Roberts try and conjure up another "its a tax not a penalty" magic trick to stop him.

" Trump stresses he wants to replace ObamaCare, not ‘terminate’ it"

This rings the Stupid Bell almost as loudly as banning Bump-Fire Stocks by executive fiat.

Of course I’m voting for Trump, I just want him to be more effective.

How is he going to be more effective when the entire government is conspiring against him and trying to out him in prison forever.

I’d say he’s doing pretty good for all that he has going on.

Look at how blacks in the country are staring to support him.

There is a segment of the population that he’ll never win over. So why bother.

So, it’s bad if Biden and Obama do things with a pen

But it’s ok if Pres Trump does the same thing.

At the end of the day, Roberts made it a law. Pres Trump, unlike those before him s after him, played by the rules. He gave Congress the chance to do its job. When it didn’t, he found LEGAL ways around them. Unlike others.

At the end of the day, Roberts made it a law

No he didn't, Congress passed a Constitutionally illegal law since it wasn't based on an enumerated power, and it was compulsory.

Robert"s just self identified the punitive part as a tax while completely ignoring the lack of an enumerated power.

> So, it’s bad if Biden and Obama do things with a pen
But it’s ok if Pres Trump does the same thing.

Apples and oranges, Obama care is illegal, Trump would just be correcting an obviously illegal law to any honest American who has a basic grasp of the Constitution.

Can you explain to me what enumerated power Congress had to establish Obamacare ?

I understand where you’re coming from. I agree with you.

But guess what…….it’s the LAW.

It was passed by Congress. Whether it’s enumerates or not, it’s the LAW. A really sh*tty one but it’s the law.

Where in the Constitution does is it enumerated that the taxpayers fund NGOs that aid and abet illegal immigration and refugee/asylum scams? Pres Trump tried to defund them. Court said he couldn’t because the money for them was passed in a budget bill and he couldn’t take it away.

Well, to be fair, it was John McCain. Republicans did vote to repeal it, except for that one vote by JM — if he had voted “yes” it would have been done.

The last republican SC justice who regularly caused trouble for us was Kennedy, who was appointed by Ronald Reagan, who up until recently was not considered much of a RINO.

John Roberts scewed up on the ACA (Obamacare), and he was appointed by W Bush; but W Bush also appointed Alito.

George HW Bush stuck us with Souter, but also gave us Clarence Thomas, and also Alito in that he put Alito on the Appeals court so he could be elevated later by W Bush.

Trump did better, but he had 3 nominees; Gorsuch is great on most things but has an interesting streak which I like but some conservatives don’t; a lot of conservatives are pretty annoyed with Kavanaugh, and I think Barrett is doing fine by the conservative masses.

others said this, but frankly, it would be extremely difficult to unwind Obamacare at this point. It needed to be stopped before it was fully implemented.

OTOH, there were a lot of bad things in Obamacare, that have actually been repealed, including some of the wild freedoms given to the executive branch to define stuff, the medical device tax, etc.

And while the SC did save us from the states having to expand medicare, there are fewer and fewer states who are availing themselves of that.
