REVEALED: Donald Trump commuted sentence of drug dealer Jonathan Braun who's now gone back to being a LOAN SHARK: Crook is accused of using close tie to Jared Kushner to secure prison release

A drug dealer who had his prison sentence commuted by Donald Trump has returned to loan sharking as his family's ties to Jared Kushner might have helped get him free, according to a report.

Staten Islander Jonathan Braun, 40, had served two-and-a-half years of his decade-long sentence for running an illegal marijuana cartel when the former president set him free along with 142 others.

Braun is accused of returning to offering high-interest loans despite nationwide bans on the practice, according to the New York Times...

Braun was in the inaugural class of the Kushner Yeshiva High School in Livingston, New Jersey, which was funded by the family of Ivanka Trump's husband, Jared Kushner, according to the New York Times.

A source told the Times that in 2020, the accused loan shark's father - Jacob Braun - approached Kushner's father - Charles Kushner - about the possibility of securing a pardon from the then-president.

Others who dealt with Braun told investigators his family helped secure his prison release through their connections with Trump's senior advisor at the time, Jared Kushner, and his family, per the Times...

It was revealed that just months after Trump freed him, Braun allegedly began preying on borrowers again by offering loans, according to New York's Attorney General and the Times.

A New York judge barred Braun from working in the industry the same month, and weeks later, he was hit with a nationwide ban following a complaint from the Federal Trade Commission.

'Mr. Braun and his company targeted small business consumers with an egregious array of tactics, from predatory contract terms to violent threats, and the court’s opinion is a significant win on their behalf,' Samuel Levine, Director of the FTC’s Bureau of Consumer Protection said in an October 2023 release.

“Most of us knew.”

No, you did not know. If Trump chased every thought of yours he wouldn’t be Trump, he’d be you.

Do you think that pardoning Assange or Snowden would have protected them from what the Deep State wants to do to them?

> Trump’s pardons were shameful. <

That’s true of many presidential pardons. And I think it illustrates a flaw in the thinking of the Founders. They fought to remove a king. Then they gave the president an absolute, king-like pardon power.

There are no checks and balances like with other powers. Perhaps a pardon should be treated like a presidential veto. It can be overridden by a 2/3 vote in both Houses of Congress.

If I ever invent a time machine, I’m going to mention this to Washington, Franklin, and the rest of the boys.

How could he pardon the J6r’s when they hadnt been charged with anything until he was out of office?

The same way Lincoln and Johnson pardoned those who fought in the civil war. The same way Ford pardoned Nixon. The same way Carter pardoned the uncharged draft dodgers.

How could he have known that they were going to face charges of anything?

Because plenty of people were arrested for entering the Capitol on January 6th before Trump left office.

While you're at it, ask them to clarify the Second Amendment and sternly let them know how the future price of not picking our own cotton.

Desantis isn’t going to win the GOP nomination. Neither is Christie neither is Haley. Ron Paul will never run for the office again and his son is now a firm Trump supporter. Donald Trump is a lot of things. He is a human with human faults and a man who scores victories and makes mistakes.

When long after you and I are gone and the history is written, it will be noted that one of Donald Trumps greatest accomplishments will be the powerful way the man exposed the Uni Party Rinos in the GOP.

I wish to heaven above you people would spend just half the amount of time you do bashing Trump to instead fixing the big problems in your party! And to those who will clap back at me with the comment, I’m not a member of the GOP, all I can say is you sure sound like a bunch of Uni Party hacks!

The same way Carter issued blanket pardons for all the draft dodgers, many of whom had not been individually charged with anything.

Logic and facts will not be tolerated!

Re: 2 - Good grief

...to pardon people because for the next two years the democraps would illegally persecute them all??

You might not like this, but some people were not illegally prosecuted. Dominic Pezzola was on film smashing a window with a riot shield he stole, in order to gain access to the Capital Building.

So, you think he should have known in the two weeks between January 6th and the 20th, when he left office, to pardon people because for the next two years the democraps would illegally persecute them all??

You’re a special kind of retarded.

Were you on vacation at the time? The house democrats flash impeached Trump for Jan 6 before he left office. They didn't even have time to run a proper impeachment before he left office, but the dems declared it was so necessary to send the message that they were going to do everything they could to make it happen.

Every mainstream media outlet was wall-to-wall screaming about insurrection and Trump admin officials were either resigning on their own to virtue signal how awful Jan 6 was, or being pressured to resign to send a message about how Trump's base represented a mortal threat to democracy and America.

In short... Yes, it should have been obvious at the time to someone like Trump that the protestors, including nonviolent ones, were going to be tracked down and persecuted.

Anyone who knows how the Democrats operate (which includes everyone here), especially after the Summer of Floyd, could see it coming.
