Excellent point about all the people who are compromised. There isn’t a deep bench of uncompromised, is there? What person in his or her right mind would want to go into that meat grinder to be destroyed and ruined?

Assuming we know the Proffer is to testify purjury? What if its really the case that they know she was overcharged?

she agreed to "truthfully testify at all hearings and proceedings and trials involving the co-defendants in this matter".

So I agree that there doesn't seem to be here grounds to believe some kind of purjury is at work in the agreement, is this wrong?

“ So that Trump and his billions couldn’t hire the best lawyers possible, because they’d be like “no way” “

Maybe if he didn’t have a record of NOT paying attorneys in the past, he wouldn’t have so many refusing to work for him.

The proffer agreement will state in detail what Powell will say under oath, which presumably will link Trump and other co-defendants to crimes. If she didn’t do that, the prosecution would never have dropped charges in the plea deal.

I think you’re making the assumption here that they know they would have won?

Like I figured and I didn’t even have to hear about any kind of ‘deal.’ It was ordained from Grand Jury to Prosecutor to Judge to Trial Jury.

But! A question is brought to mind. Supposedly, she’s to testify (against whom?) for this plea deal. If Trump is the intended victim of this underhanded extortion of a witness, was she legally his lawyer? Attorney-Client privilege anyone? Did Miss Fani promise favor/coerce testimony for a legally sanctioned relationship? If not his ‘lawyer,’ then what kind of information will she testify about? Is there anything to testify about? Hearsay?

The deal stinks to high heaven. Fani should be sanctioned heavily by the Georgia Legislature for her obviously political actions.

But whatever happens, I’m STILL voting for Trump. They (thieving Democrats) OWE me a President from 2020. Not a sick pervert demented, lying arrogant old fool like the one we have right now.

I don’t understand this Trump or commie mentality here.

I voted for Donald T, I don’t want Trump to go to jail and I would vote for him again.

Yet Desnatis is younger, has a conservative record despite the flimsy attacks and he is now my first choice , Trump my second.

Only a cultist would call me a commie for that—-and several have.

The judge refers to the sealed proffer and her agreement to testify against the co-defendants. It takes magical thinking to suppose this isn’t real.

The proffer was to provide a recorded testimony, and to testify in further trials. It remains a question as to what that testimony is. Is the recorded portion of the proffer personal admission of guilt or does it pertain to other investigations?

Time will tell I guess.

Exactly !

Powell got Mike Flynn out from under a conviction extracted by the same means.

But now it has happened to her.

Thanks for reminding me about her getting Flynn out of trouble. Some payback for her, huh?

When fighting the DS, no good deed goes unpunished. All these damn leftists always yammering about “Justice!” but there IS NO true justice when it comes to conservatives. There are so many examples of gross miscarriage of justice for conservatives it makes your head spin.

They now make no attempt to hide or deny it. In fact the blatant unfairness of it helps them to intimidate critics of the Regime into silence.

Yesterday, Douglas Mackey was convicted for Twitter Memes that a one minute search shows were also widely used by leftists against conservatives voting.

Mackey was in Florida but the Federal Prosecution was in Brooklyn New York.

“Gee, you know the REAL reason why he can’t get a decent lawyer?

Because he is the WORST client ever!! He won’t shut the F*** up!! What do lawyers tell their clients? Be quiet. Don’t talk. If you talk, it can be used against you.

And what Trump do? Runs his mouth. CONSTANTLY. He can’t help it. What law firm is going to want anything to do with a client who does nothing but hurt his own case?”

THIS! All of this. We have a family friend who’s a high powered defense attoney in his “large” town. One of the best. He voted for Trump.

But he said he absolutely would NEVER represent him in any way shape or fashion. Nothing to do with intimidation. This guy isn’t intimidated by much.
But he likes to win.
More than anything.
And Trump would make his job unnecessarily complicated and then at the last minute couldn’t be trusted not to tank it. He said he won’t shut up and I’m not gonna have a client who makes me look foolish and worse yet, lose!
And again he’s a Trump voter.
