FIFTY years since the last Arab-Israeli war, hostilities have once again broken out in Palestine. Hamas, the Palestinian group which rules Gaza, launched a Saturday morning surprise blitz targeting Israel, sending fighters into the state and initiating what will likely be a lengthy armed confrontation between the Palestinians and Israelis.
Tel Aviv has already said Israel is “at war”. According to Hamas, ‘Operation Al-Aqsa Flood’ was started in response to “atrocities in Gaza, against Palestinian people [and] our holy sites”. Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, meanwhile, has said his people have the right to defend themselves against the “terror of settlers and occupation troops”.
Many Western states have issued typically sanctimonious statements criticising Hamas, and reiterating Israel’s right to defend itself. Yet they choose to ignore what has led to the current conflagration: the far-right government that runs Israel has unleashed a reign of terror upon the Palestinians.
According to the UN, over 200 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli forces and settlers (before yesterday’s declaration of war) — the highest number in 18 years. At the time of writing, another 200 Palestinians in Gaza had been killed in a single day’s bombardment, a blood-soaked tally that is bound to rise.

Uh, dawn.....NOT JUSTIFIED!
“I am against the creation of a Palestinian state.” Henry Kissinger.
I’ve said that in mixed company whenever the subject came up which was not often. It had a silencing effect. People automatically assumed I was knowledgable on the subject. I wasn’t but I know more than most of the academics out there.
The only thing I know is this: they’re all crazy.
To think there are those that dedicate their entire life studying the region and lecturing on it. The bottom line-Sayb Erekat died in an Israeli hospital.
This kind of logic sounds like the typical anti-gun movement propaganda.
They tell you how many people were killed by guns but not that more than half were suicides and very few gun owners, who are not all ready criminals and are legally allowed to own guns, don’t shoot anyone.
So how many of these 200 killed Palestinians were peaceably going about their business when shot by an Israeli, and how many were committing an act of terrorism, murder and mayhem?
That’s all I want to know, because it really matters.
Mahmoud Abbas, meanwhile, has said his people have the right to defend themselves against the “terror of settlers and occupation troops”
Can’t just call for peace and calm, then get on with building Fakestanians better lives and a better economy

I recommend that Islam be practiced only in Hell.
Just heard a song on the radio earlier today which had the recurring line: "God is great, beer is good, and people are crazy." That covers a lot of ground.
News flash, there is no palestine.
More Klaus Schwab initiatives to increase energy prices and help force everyone into 15 minute cities.
Its point of origin..
There was a war in 2006 between Israel and Lebanon, or more accurately between Israel and Hezbollah. The Israelis found the ground war fairly difficult.

Hogwash BS Pali propaganda. Get this crap of Free Republic.
We’ve had lots of Russian propaganda here, now we have Palestinian propaganda. Don’t let this website become a joke.

Simply enough -- take all 4 of his 'progeny' and anything else that looks like him into 'protective custody', lather-rinse-repeat for every single Hamas/Palestinian Authority 'diplomat' in the US, UK, and EU.
Subtract from that cohort the amount of total dead at the hands of Hamas, and then negotiate the trade with whatever is left.
When you play by different rules, it’s always going to be hard for the Israelis. When you shoot rockets and hide munitions in mosques, schools, hospitals, and among the populace, you can be very effective.
The MSM crucifies Israel if they hit a civilian area but say little when Hamas and Hezbollah use civilians for shields.
Time to take the gloves off and show no mercy. Israel won’t win world support no matter how they conduct the war.
Better to be ruthless and done.
