A civil trial in which Donald J. Trump is accused of fraudulently inflating the values of his properties could begin as soon as Monday, after a New York appeals court rejected the former president’s attempt to delay it.
The appeals court, in a terse two-page order Thursday, turned aside a lawsuit Mr. Trump filed against the trial judge, Arthur F. Engoron, which had sought to delay the proceeding.
The ruling came two days after Justice Engoron issued an order that struck a major blow to Mr. Trump, finding him liable for having committed fraud by persistently overvaluing his assets and stripping him of control over his New York properties. Justice Engoron sided with the New York attorney general, Letitia James, who last year sued Mr. Trump, accusing him of inflating his net worth by billions of dollars to obtain favorable loan terms from banks.

I do believe they have to go all the way through the New York State Courts to then go to the Federal Court system.
if this prevails-nationwide all commercial real estate crashes...wiping out downstream huge chunks of the insurance industry which is secured with said CRE.

The problem with refusing to pay these incompetent lawyers is that Trump will have to competent lawyers when the incompetent lawyers sue him for non-payment.

Still, I’m quite dismayed at how ineffective they’ve been so far in getting much if not all of the preposterous charges dismissed (thrown out), especially in the 3 NY cases and the farce in Atlanta.
