Hold on, J6 political prisoners: the Supreme Court could overturn this nightmare…

The political prisoners from January 6th are in dire need of assistance, and it appears Congress won’t be the ones to provide it. Therefore, it’s time to appeal to the highest authority – the Supreme Court of the United States. Should the high court agree to hear this case, it could turn the tables on everything the regime has done to unjustly punish and abuse these American citizens.

"A new petition to the Supreme Court could upend hundreds of cases related to the January 6 Capitol riot if the Court’s conservative majority decides to hear an appeal from a New York man who is awaiting his sentencing for assaulting a police officer, among other charges.

Edward Lang, who was arrested and charged for his role in the riot after he posted photos and videos on social media placing him at the Capitol that day, filed a petition with the Court on Friday. He is asking the justices to hear his appeal of one of the 11 charges he was indicted on: obstruction of an official proceeding.

The charge in question has been deployed against hundreds of defendants involved in the January 6, 2021, riot, including Jacob Chansley (aka QAnon Shaman), Oath Keepers founder Stewart Rhodes and former Olympic swimmer Klete Keller. The charge was also cited by the House committee investigating the riot when the panel issued criminal referrals against Donald Trump. The official proceeding refers to Congress’ certification of the Electoral College votes that elected Joe Biden president.

Norman Pattis, Lang’s attorney, told Newsweek that he believes the use of the statute that the litigation is centered around could upend the cases of “hundreds of defendants.”"

I've wondered why a defendant hasn't previously brought this issue to higher Courts. It's obvious that the DOJ is being creative in twisting the law to bring charges against these defendants. Just the same as they are doing to Trump.

Waiting for Supreme Court to do the right thing.

As Roe from 1973 to 2022? Almost 50 years.

LS wrote immediately after J6 that the Congress critters from both sides would seek revenge for the optics of cowering in fear.

They won’t help because those photos show exactly who the Congress people are… and it embarrasses them.

As a non attorney, I don’t understand why an equal protection under the law appeal wouldn’t work given the riots of 2020.

The main purpose the Rats'n'RINOs Syndicate engineered this made-for-the-masses "insurrection™" was to interrupt the electoral vote certification - "obstruction of an official proceeding". They didn't want any discussion in Congress of the irregular methods that the states used to arrive at their final ballot count and subsequent selection of electors. After all, it was Congress that had the "standing" to discuss all the issues of the election fraud cases that the judiciary punted on. However, by hell or high water, the Rats'n'RINOs were going to create the "emergency" situation that allowed them to gaily skip right past those discussions.

As usual with these criminals, it's projection. The Rats'n'RINOs Syndicate's behind-the-scenes backers were the one's who needed the disruption (the "obstruction"). It was they who put the whole performance-art production together, to the end of creating the emergency, the rushed session for certification, and the failure to hear any of the nation's grievances.

They project the whole thing onto their enemies (the larger half of their constituents), reward their henchmen in the media to amplify their telling of it constantly, day after day for years, but it is they who manipulated human nature to create it.

I viewed an interview by Kyle Seraphin with the America Shaman (from J6)

It takes a little patience to watch, but a lot of it explains his arrest and time in prison.

A chat with Jacob Chansley (America Shaman, Aug 24, 2023)

Jacob has a strange view of the world, but is not stupid. I neither endorse or condemn him. That is not my place.

Not really. It's We The People. But, most of us don't understand that.

The new congress has changed the outcome of nothing. They don’t even care about the illegality(and corruption) of who was just appointed to a new special council.

Now that's an interesting take that explains a lot. It is also a sign of hope for good people across America because it shows that it doesn't take much to scare the crap out of the privileged, totalitarian DC filthbags.

Exactly! If they were in such danger did any one of them have their “Let’s Roll” moment?

Nope....everyone of them hid under their desks and did nothing.

If you house is being “invaded” don’t you pitch in and help save it?

Nah....not a congresscritter.

Very few congress-critters stuck their necks out to criticize the political trials of hundreds of Americans.

In 2016, for too many similar reasons to count, I stopped voting in congressional elections.

We haven’t been self-governing for decades and I refuse to give my assent to our corrupt system of so-called government anymore.

Yes, BOTH sides. There were a few who weren’t cowards, but were herded along.

That was like a brand on them. (Cue Chuck Connors, “Branded”)

FTA-—Lang’s attorney told Newsweekthe use of the statute that the litigation is centered around could upend the cases of “hundreds of defendants.”

“The government misuse and abuse of the federal penal code in the J6 cases is shocking,” Norman Pattis said.

Lang’s legal team is arguing that the has been too broadly applied coming from a federal law that states: an individual who “corruptly alters, destroys, mutilates, or conceals a record, document” or “otherwise obstructs, influences, or impedes any official proceeding, or attempts to do so” can be imprisoned for up to 20 years.

In the appeal to the Supreme Court, Lang’s lawyers are claiming the other side did not prove anything “corrupt” went down.

Many say the lower courts have screwed this up thanks to activist judges
<><> who politicized interpretations
<><>created a tangled web of opinions
<><>and a pile of unanswered questions.
