Carlson confirms that his interview with Donald Trump will air tonight at 8:55pm ET, just before the start of the GOP Fox News Debate.
They are like horseflies always buzzing around asking to be swatted.
It's one thing to support one's chosen candidate...quite another to lie about and be vile towards those who support someone else! And then these same posters claim that they want "civility"!
T.V. debates are worthless and have been for quite some time now.
Omg DeSantis sounds more out of touch than I expected! Thanks for the recap, you couldn’t pay me to watch that circus!
Damn, they’re nasty for doing that to you.
I can’t even figure out how to navigate that place.
I like FR much better.
I want to know just how much viewership FAUX got!
Thanks for the ping.
Okay, just finished the GOP Debate, which was fantastic and will clarify the field. DeSantis was on point all night, Ramaswamy was a jerk all night. Others had their moments, some good clips will come out of that evening. Now going to watch the pre-recorded and edited interview by Tucker.
Barely into the interview, already name calling.
At what point did you say this? I’m watching now and this is meaningless banter. What’s with the blue suit?
Donald Trump is a Debate Winner Even Without Taking the Stage
The ex-president’s lead in the Republican primary is so commanding he doesn’t have to play the same game the other candidates do.

Donald Trump—who is expected to surrender to authorities Thursday, the morning after the debate, in his fourth felony indictment—entered the race as the GOP’s clear favorite. But the former president’s grip on the party has only seemed to tighten in recent months: His legal troubles have dominated the news cycles; even most of his opponents have treated him with deference and entertained his fantasies of political persecution; and DeSantis, his closest rival, has come to seem less like Trump 2.0 than a glitchy knock-off. There has been some appetite, within the GOP, for a Trump alternative, be it an acolyte like Ramaswamy or an antagonist like Chris Christie. But no one, so far, has done much to alter the overall 2024 landscape.
It’ll be harder for them to do so if he makes clear he is not bound by the same rules as the rest of the field: He has refused to sign the loyalty pledge the Republican National Committee has mandated for its candidates to appear in debates. And he is not only skipping the debate in defiance of RNC Chair Ronna McDaniel—he is counter-programming it with a Tucker Carlson interview. McDaniel is a stickler when it comes to the rest of the field. In response to criticism from anti-Trump Republican Will Hurd and other candidates who didn’t make the debate stage, McDaniel more or less shrugged: “The rules are the rules,” she told Politico, adding that there will be “consequences” for candidates who flout the required pledge to support the eventual nominee. But that doesn’t really apply to Trump; any punishments the RNC comes up with are unlikely to have a real impact on his candidacy. He’s not subject to the dictates of the Republican Party—he is the Republican Party.
You should do your own thread on your opinion of Trump, as your posting history shows you’re just going to attack Trump, and post stuff to do a thread derail
The Tucker interview with Trump is like an historical interview for the history books. Mostly reminiscing. A snoozer.
I just watched the Tucker interview with President Trump on Rumble. It was great!
Didn’t waste one second listening to the Keebler Elves on Faux.
The dissident Right is almost non-existent on Free Republic. (I’m about the only one talking about the GAE and The Cathedral).
FR is basically Boomer Cons and talk radio conservatives still hoping that the Constitution will save them.
I support FR and want to keep it going because the Regime will eventually force any dissenting voice off of all social media, and FR will be about all we have.
And the Boomer Cons are gradually figuring it out: lots of scepticism about the Ukraine War, noticing that Congressional Hearings never lead to action, recognizing that all the false legal moves against Trump validates that he represents a challenge to the Regime.
It was recorded days ago, the recording was released tonight.
DeSantis was on point? I only saw a couple quotes but DeSantis said Pence was correct he could not have asked the states to confirm and also that the Country suffered because the Federal Government shut down the economy.
Both completely incorrect statements. I don’t care enough to listen/read further; that was enough for me.
Trump sounds tired and old. This is like an old man reminiscing about the good old days.
Trump did not win the debate. Everyone has moved on, passing mention at best. DeSantis won the debate, on point all night. Now, I’m sure we’ll se the usual suspects redouble their efforts to trash DeSantis on FR tomorrow.
Well said.
