California homes are so pricey that only 16% of the state’s residents can afford to buy one—and it’s only getting worse

Buying a home in California slipped further out of reach as interest rates climbed and scarce inventory bolstered prices.

Only 16% of households could qualify to purchase a median-priced single-family home in the second quarter, the California Association of Realtors reported Friday. That’s down from 19% in the first quarter and 17% a year earlier.

The solution will be communist-style block high-rises. In the USSR, each person was entitled to 100 square feet of living space.

The Communist ruling class in CA would love to see half the population eliminated by whatever means possible. They’d never admit it, but it’s true.

Only the ‘elite’ will be able to afford to live there.

But, aren’t the elite the kind of people that democrats like to demonize the most? California will be composed of the rich and elite, and the middle-class and poor, will be living off the stuff that ‘trickles down’ from the rich and powerful. The complete opposite of what the democrats preach.

In California, the ONLY means and methods that is remaining to keep the criminals and leaches at bay and stop them from destroying everything around them is to price them away

$600 for Disneyland tickets

$150 a nite campsites at the beach with 2 years advance reservations

$8 a gallon gas keeps the riff raff in the Ghetto

Why is this happening? Short answer, stupid liberal government. Where else will you find a haven for your money than property?

Decades ago, my sisters were trying to convince my mom to sell her house and move into an apartment. I intervened and stopped them. Told my mom “And what makes you think the rents won’t keep increasing until you can’t afford it anymore?”. Got her into a smaller house and she got the savings to continue living comfortably. Rents back then for a home were under $1000. Now they’re $5000 and up for a small home.

Rent prices always go up, which is one reason for all the homeless on the streets.

Actually, on second thought, I think you're right. California doesn't have the money to build communist-style block housing and the state's environmental laws won't allow for its construction anyway. 21st century communism will be miles and miles of tents and RVs.

Don’t worry, with all the folks leaving CA, I’m sure those drug addled homeless people living in the streets and the influx of illegal aliens will be more than enough to cover tax shortfalls.

Basically, a moneyed set is trading them amongst themselves. Less outside suckers are being pulled in.

Eventually the farce collapses to affordability and usefulness by a larger set of people. Time frame unknown but approaching.

California doesn't have the money to build communist-style block housing and the state's environmental laws won't allow for its construction anyway.

Except that is what's happening. California State senator Scott Weiner passed legislation that forced all communities to allow and build high-rise block housing near transportation hubs.

Happened in my town, despite howls of protest from the community. Town rezoned single-family 1-story housing to multiple-family multiple-story housing across a wide swath of the town, and several projects to build 8 to 12-story buildings in progress. All to help low-income people get housing in a good area of town.

It’s a big club, and you ain’t in it. You and I are not in the big club! ~ George Carlin

(Warning! Typical George Carlin language!) May 4, 2014

“But there’s a reason. There’s a reason. There’s a reason for this, there’s a reason education sucks, and it’s the same reason that it will never, ever, ever be fixed. It’s never gonna get any better. Don’t look for it. Be happy with what you got.

Because the owners of this country don’t want that. I’m talking about the real owners now, the real owners, the big wealthy business interests that control things and make all the important decisions.

Forget the politicians. The politicians are put there to give you the idea that you have freedom of choice. You don’t.

You have no choice. You have owners. They own you. They own everything. They own all the important land. They own and control the corporations. They’ve long since bought and paid for the senate, the congress, the state houses, the city halls, they got the judges in their back pockets and they own all the big media companies so they control just about all of the news and information you get to hear. They got you by the balls.

They spend billions of dollars every year lobbying, lobbying, to get what they want. Well, we know what they want. They want more for themselves and less for everybody else, but I’ll tell you what they don’t want:

They don’t want a population of citizens capable of critical thinking. They don’t want well informed, well educated people capable of critical thinking. They’re not interested in that. That doesn’t help them.

That’s against their interests. That’s right. They don’t want people who are smart enough to sit around a kitchen table to figure out how badly they’re getting ***ked by a system that threw them overboard 30 ***king years ago.

They don’t want that. You know what they want? They want obedient workers. Obedient workers. People who are just smart enough to run the machines and do the paperwork, and just dumb enough to passively accept all these increasingly shittier jobs with the lower pay, the longer hours, the reduced benefits, the end of overtime and the vanishing pension that disappears the minute you go to collect it, and now they’re coming for your Social Security money.

They want your retirement money. They want it back so they can give it to their criminal friends on Wall Street, and you know something?

They’ll get it. They’ll get it all from you, sooner or later, ‘cause they own this ***king place.

It’s a big club, and you ain’t in it. You and I are not in the big club. And by the way, it’s the same big club they use to beat you over the head with all day long when they tell you what to believe. All day long beating you over the head in their media telling you what to believe, what to think and what to buy. The table is tilted folks.

The game is rigged, and nobody seems to notice, nobody seems to care. Good honest hard-working people — white collar, blue collar, it doesn’t matter what color shirt you have on — good honest hard-working people continue — these are people of modest means — continue to elect these rich ************s who don’t give a ***k about them. They don’t give a ***k about you.

They don’t give a ***k about you. They don’t care about you at all — at all — at all. And nobody seems to notice, nobody seems to care. That’s what the owners count on; the fact that Americans will probably remain willfully ignorant of the big red, white and blue dick that’s being jammed up their ********** everyday. Because the owners of this country know the truth: it’s called the American Dream, because you have to be asleep to believe it.”

No that is not who they demonize. The leftist in California are the wealthy elite.
