Yes that. Just read the article and thought the same thing. They acknowledge in the article they don’t know what caused the brushfires but know it was “in part” due to the hurricane so even if that part is 2% they will call this climate change.
That’s awful. This is the first I’ve heard about it.
I would have thought there was a more efficient rescue plan already worked out for that location. Maybe it’s rare to have wildfires + a hurricane going on all at once.

Yes they will, even though there’s been over 12,000 wildfires in Hawaii history. But stupid people will cry that the world is ending “unless we do something”.

WHAT’S THAT? SEPT 8, 2020, SOUTHERN OREGON. 2 towns were torched by anarchists. The county had 6 hours to warn us. No evacuation, no warning. Nothing on local radio and tv news. We ran from the flames. They wouldn’t even call in wildfire fighters.
3500 senior citizens homeless... NO PLAN. Many of us are still trying to get home.

One would think the hurricane would put the fires out. But the devil is always in the details.
