Drive down any Interstate highway and you will see melt point where gas cars caught fire.
As for EVs I think GM Bolt/Volt owners might need to pony up more.
But this is your standard FUD/Attack against that is not warranted against EVs.
Yes, gas is expensive mostly because of all the taxes added over the years. Don’t blame that on EVs.
If you don’t like EVs, then don’t buy one. If you don’t like taxes or regulations, bitch to your elected representatives or vote them out.
But judging from car sales so far this year, the EV revolution has begun. It will not be overnight and I do not like mandates forcing people into things.
Let the market decide. Even without the $7500 tax credit, Tesla’s will still be selling at the speed of their manufacturing capacity.
If you haven’t noticed, US car makers ha e given up on affordable cars and are almost exclusively mid to large SUVs & trucks.
This is evidence that pretty much everyone—from central planners to auto manufacturers—misjudged the demand for EVs, which are not even as environmentally friendly as politicians would have you believe.
