In Argentina at one point, the government decided to “Defund the Police”, according to Fernando “Ferfal” Aguirre. Weeks into this awful experiment, good Argentinians took it upon themselves to deal with the rampant crime. They shot and hanged criminals, among other things, to such an extent that the criminals actually begged the government to bring the police back. The government eventually did.
I guess these crooks thought the risk of three hots and a cot in a 6x9 was preferable to being hanged in the streets.
I watched a video of vigilante mob justice in El Salvador. A gang of youths shot and murdered a cab driver. They were caught, beat up, doused with gasoline, and set on fire.
The mob separated in to two groups, one to administer justice while the other kept the police away.
