McCarthy should lose his speakership position after this, as more Dems voted for it than Republicans voted for it.

McCarthy just destroyed (in only five months) his chance of ever being considered a conservative leader of the GOP House. He may as well now just tell the democrats to send whatever bill they want passed to the floor, and he will manage to get the votes for it.
With this bill, they pushed the debt ceiling until after the next presidential election to have no leverage next year.

You’d think after the last three debt increases by trump, you’d be used to GOP screwing everyone. We at least got a few things. Under trump, we got nothing in the 3 bills. They were all clean bills.
