when the backlash against CFA was building in 2019, Franklin Graham stepped in to quell the boycott. I hope he was just a “useful idiot” for chick fil a but when he did that I stopped donating to Samaritan’s Purse. We have been giving thousands a year to them but I began to doubt their motives after that episode and removed them from list of potential recipients of my hard earned money

Another easy boycott for me. I very rarely eat fast food and haven’t been to a Chick-fil-A in decades. I don’t care for chicken much. I’ll make it home only because it is less expensive than beef, lamb and pig. I’m not paying a premium on something that I really don’t enjoy.

Well, you can always eat their food and ignore their politics...like when I listen to the blues programs on my local NPR station and thank the liberals who donated the money to pay for them.

Here’s why this is happening:

<< The CEI (Corporate Equality Index) is a woke credit score that judges companies based on how many woke issues they are pushing. Especially LGBTQ agenda issues and BLM.

The Human Rights Campaign (HRC) gives the score, and they send lobbyists to companies and give them a list of demands. If the companies don’t comply, the woke investors put pressure on the boards, activists are mobilized, advertising campaigns are shut down, and anyone who continues to do business with the poorly scored company will be penalized.

Who funds the HRC? The Open Society Foundation (OSF). Who runs OSF? George Soros. Essentially, businesses that don’t get a good score are
targeted by woke activists who use threats and coercion against them. >>

Only way to counter this phenomenon is through massive boycotts, essentially giving companies a choice to choose their pain. Boycott pain needs to be worse.

I’m trying to understand how this works. There is an ESG rating for corporations but how and why does it exert so much influence in corporate boardrooms? I understand BlackRock influences this but do they actually control the mechanism by proxy? Are these companies literally coerced into this or does this ESG investment angle really make sense from a business perspective?

"It’s ruling a good number of America’s CEOs these days.".

Under the auspices of Larry Fink and Blackrock. Gotta get them ESG scores up!

Hobby Lobby is still openly Christian. They play Christian music if one is familiar with the hymns.

The problem: if they continue to be Christian they might not be able to buy items to sell or get a bank account.

Any company that does business with a non-woke company gets dinged on their ESG score.

No tranny no business is the way things work now.

This ^^^

It’s time to join the left in their game. Say all the right things. Praise DIE and CRT, but just go about business as usual. If anyone objects to your actions or inaction, nationally label them a racist and bigot since you praise DIE and CRT. No proof is necessary.

Who is this “HRC”? Is it another fake entity like SPLC, WHO, or WEF? Can we not turn this around, ie spend our money at businesses who have low DEI scores? Demand they publish their woke credentials just like a restaurant has to post their sanitation score. If they are so damn proud of this crap, MAKE THEM OWN IT!

Restaurant Brands International Inc. (RBI) is a Canadian-American company multinational fast food holding company. It was formed in 2014 by the $12.5 billion merger between American fast food restaurant chain Burger King and Canadian coffee shop and restaurant chain Tim Hortons, and expanded by the 2017 purchase of American fast-food chain Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen. The company is the fifth-largest operator of fast food restaurants in the world behind Subway, McDonald’s, Starbucks and Yum! Brands. RBI is based alongside Tim Hortons in Toronto (previously Oakville, Ontario).[4] For tax purposes, Burger King and Popeyes retain their existing operations and headquarters, both in Miami. The 2014 merger focused primarily on expanding the international reach of the Tim Hortons brand and providing financial efficiencies for both companies.

3G Restaurant Brands Holdings LP, an affiliate of the Brazilian investment company 3G Capital, owns a 32% stake in Restaurant Brands International.[5] The company is publicly traded on the New York Stock Exchange and the Toronto Stock Exchange.

This is not fair to Chick-Fil-A

https://www.fox26houston.com/news/chick-fil-a-banned-from-second-airport-in-less-than-2-weeks

https://www.hrc.org/resources/corporate-equality-index

It would be all different if the US had free markets where consumers through the purchases decide how that market looks and what services and products are offered and at what price.

This is the US today: https://fortune.com/2023/04/12/new-biden-administration-epa-pollution-rules-require-10x-ev-sales-2032/ (The government decided what you drive, not you, the government did, and these policies will eventually trickle down to your purchases in that the government will guide your decisions through taxation, subsidies, or the availability of certain products and services)

We all know that the free market is history, it’s just a cliche thrown around today by some politicians, but it’s no longer a reality. The US is a social democracy, a technocracy, where government has broad reaching regulatory powers, a huge portion of the GDP is government, the government has the ability to administratively punish without a trial, to tax without calling it a tax, to seize property with extremely liberal eminent domain rules, where you do not have a right to free speech, you do not have a right to move freely, you have no right to privacy in your person or affects, and you have no real recourse.

Americans are “subjects” and no longer “the sovereign” they once were.

***Chick-Fil-A is merely trying to survive in a world where if you do not play along, you get crushed.***

If you believe that is an over exaggeration, look at Covid and what we did with businesses, people who refused to get vaccinated or tested... You will comply, or else.

EMPHASIS added. This will indeed be the future and we're already seeing its firstfruits. Marginalization and starvation are some of their tools.

When these things happen and they WILL - it will be the biggest life-changing event on planet Earth - Jesus said then shall be Great Tribulation such as never was (Lurkers please click on my screen name to see my FR homepage for more information - God bless)
