That was the key for me as well. Right there on the CDC’s website when I was noodling around in late ‘21 or early ‘22.
Not vaxed, got delta in May of 2020. Mild sore throat, but lost my sense of taste and smell for a couple of weeks.
That’s not the usual influenza.
We should have done what the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh did, and move to an Ivermectin protocol. Ivermectin is a true miracle drug.
The name behind Covid-19 is Sars-Cov-2 (Sars is severe acute respiratory syndrome). There was an outbreak of Sars-Cov-1 a couple decades earlier (2003). Fauci funded a lab in China to modify Sars-Cov-1 and it mutated into Sars-Cov-2 (heavy denials on this). Influenza viruses are variants. So yes, "Covid-19" is a flu variant. And it continues to mutate on its own out in the wild. Same goes for the common cold - common but not very deadly. Flu now is common, but not so deadly as a few years ago.

The pandemic was the last hope the rat party had to defeat Trump. I think it was engineered, planted, and released into this country to do exactly that.... To defeat Trump. With the virus, the rat party was able to shut down normal voting procedure and forced the country into this ‘can’t go to the polls’ because you may die scenario. This was a rat party last ditch effort. In many regards, it was like the Hillary ‘Russian hoax’. This whole thing was a rat party scam on the country. The rat party willingly allowed so many people to die just so they can grab the power of the government. This is the truth. I will never be convinced otherwise.
People died from the “accepted treatment” they were receiving and their inability to use effective and inexpensive drugs.

Very interesting. It’s quite a claim, but the credentials (claimed) are impressive. I have no doubt whatsoever that there was a lot of funny business. Then there are the “novel” oddities.
Asymptomatic disease. Was there ever such a thing in the history of the world? I’ve known a few people who were quarantined without symptoms. My, we are a credulous bunch.
Vaccines that don’t protect. What? I realize that vaccines are not perfect, but really? The CDC conveniently redefines vaccines in the middle of a pandemic:

I know a few people who got Covid who are glad they had the vaccine. They are convinced that the vaccine protected them from a worse illness. How can they possibly know?
Nearly complete disappearance of influenza.
Claimed changing PCR testing standards. One can create the image of a pandemic simply by using overly sensitive tests. Then one can create the image of a successful vaccine by using a relatively insensitive test. One can certainly make a trend by monkeying about with testing standards.
Who, if anyone, is overseeing testing? Certainly not any of my doctors. I suspect testing organizations, such as Quest, either mail-off the tests, or test per government guidance.
Reliance on a communist country for gain-of-function research. Did our PCR test kits come from China also?
Why was virtually no one told that mRNA vaccines were experimental?
Several Democrat governors sent infected people into nursing homes - the exact wrong place to send them.
Hospitals continue to refuse treatment for those who have not had the inoculation. This is just one of many totalitarian measures that have been taken in America. Another is the strong-armed attempt to silence medical skeptics.
Something is truly rotten in the State of America.
