Harris on mass shootings: It’s ‘pitiful’ that Congress can’t ‘stand up to the NRA’

Vice President Harris slammed Congress on Thursday for lacking “the courage to stand up” to the National Rifle Association (NRA) and pass gun safety laws in the wake of several recent mass shootings.

“I just think it is pitiful that the people in the United States Congress do not have the courage to stand up to the gun lobby, stand up to the NRA, and say, “Look, I support Second Amendment, but we need reasonable gun safety laws,’” Harris said during an appearance on “The Jennifer Hudson Show.”

The vice president emphasized that the Second Amendment and gun safety laws are not at odds with one another.

“We shouldn’t have to be presented with this false choice, which suggests you’re either in favor of the Second Amendment or you want reasonable gun safety laws,” Harris told Hudson. “That’s a false choice.

Americans like guns regardless of what the NRA does or does not do. How much more money does big pharma give to polticians compared to the nra ?
When 5% of the population (black males) are the cause of 50% of violent crimes in this country maybe it’s not gun ownership that’s the problem. Maybe it’s fatherless homes and culture that celebrates criminal behavior , maybe the lack of middle class factory jobs that American oligarchs shipped over seas ?

Biden’s gun free zones are where killers tend to go.

Since the class of habitual criminals would be much smaller it is likely that much less than 1% of the population commits half the crimes.

What she meant to say was “It would be great if people would just do what we want them to do, and then they wouldn’t need guns…”

I’ll give you the waxworks face, but I think she needs another hundred or so pounds and a membership to table cloths of the month club before she is in Shitlery league (although I do think she will end up that way along with the eventual constant complaints that the presidency was stolen from her for ‘reasons’ one of these days).

...we need reasonable gun safety laws...

A complete pant load. We have way more than reasonable gun safety laws. How about reasonable district attorneys who will not be Soros puppets and lock up criminals and multiple repeat offenders.

We all know - every last one of us - that "reasonable gun safety laws" means confiscation.

Remember when they promised that those who practice homosexuality just wanted a simple civil union and to be left alone?

Remember when reasonable people just wanted medical marijuana?

Remember when reasonable people were ridiculed regarding people would said they would eventually want to legalize pedophilia? A yeah, not one inch more of "reasonableness" from me. You start by recalling all your liberal DAs and you get serious about criminal enforcement.
