Senator Tammy Duckworth (D-IL) told CBS News in an interview on Tuesday that she believed Republican lawmakers were continuing to put the well-being of the National Rifle Association (NRA) over Americans and their families.
Duckworth said, “We can right now today pass universal background checks. We could pass a ban on assault weapon ban. We could pass a ban on high-capacity magazines. Those last two things are the common denominators involved in mass shootings in this country.”

Dems don’t even BELIEVE in families. So where does THAT leave her dumbass statement?
Didn’t she take an oath to defend the constitution? What
part of “shall not be infringed” did she skip?
Families need guns to prorect themselves from criminal degenerates and their pro-criminal DA’s and judges.
What a Moron. United States Senator knows nothing. This country is Kaput. The Republic is gone.
Democrats put the well-being of the country in danger, by concentrating on woke policies and worrying more about climate change, and worrying more about the rights of criminals than that of the crime victims.
The country is going to hell while China and Russia win over our former allies, while China is ready to take Taiwan.
Democrats don’t worry about how the constitution is being made irrelevant, while they take away our rights, like freedom of speech and freedom of the press and freedom of religion, and our right to own arms. The right to own arms was/is mostly about the citizens defending themselves against a government that would take away our rights.
Duckworth’s words are not worthy of being heard.
No thanks to some HEPPA laws. I have been keeping tabs on mass shooters, not for a nefarious purpose. However over the last 20 years they all have one common demonitor. Every murderer has been or currently on some psycotropic drug such as Lorazapan, Ambien, Valium, etc.
I feel, eventhough sometimes against my beliefs, if mind altering drugs are perscribed to people, it should raise a flag when it comes to firearm purchases, and HEPPA can go out the window on that potential for others. However it opens the legal system to continue extending the reach of the law through “interpretation” of a red flag. It is a two edged sword, cut either way one runs their finger.
Mental health needs to be adressed now, not high-capacity magazines (standard capacity) or the evil Assault weapon that every politician is protected with.

Democrats and Communists just want to take away all guns so only they and other criminals have guns.
What a weak argument! Do they ever talk about what drugs the perp was on? Should there be a red flag for trans people? What was the mental condition of the perp? How and when did the perp get his/her/its hand on a gun? Why blame the gun and ignore the person using the weapon?
My reading of the second amendment is that all gun laws on the books are unconstitutional. The communists and Democrats have been ignoring the Constitution for many years.

NOT in the level of control government has over our lives.
If Duckworth really prioritized "The "well-being" of American's and their families", she would support law and order, and consequences for criminals. She wouldn't support social policies that destroy the nuclear family and personal accountability.
Ask her, "If all the gun's in the world disappeared tomorrow, would the violence, and disrespect for life, law, and order go with it?"
Yet Duckworth favors murdering children in the womb.
American families have freedom BECAUSE of the NRA.
Outlawing guns will end “gun violence” the same way outlawing drugs ended “drug violence,”

Thank you. It is such an obvious comparison, yet so infrequently used. I wonder why that is. Drug laws have not stopped drug trafficking. What they have done is create dangerous drug cartels. Banning guns will do the same.
Remember the old saying....When guns are outlawed, only outlaws will have guns ? That was an effective and obvious slogan that for some reason faded away.
Exactly how will universal background checks have stopped any(all?) of the mass shooting by mentally ill leftists? And especially by the second fruitcake that shot up the bank killing and wounding many with what some are saying was his girlfriends gun?
Always the socialists immediately want to unconstitutionally disarm the law abiding and refuse to even acknowledge the real problem of mental illness. And it’s simple, everyone knows it’s because solving the problem isn’t anything they are interested in doing, their sole aim is disarmament of law abiding Americans.
I’ll commend her for her military service, but Benedict Arnold was a military hero, too. Enough said.
