So if we’re convinced it’s going to happen anyway, why waste the time, effort and money to pursue an already lost cause? I am so tired of this BS.

One of Rush's most genius moments is when he came up with the Gore countdown clock:

They are trying to use corrupted science as a basis to usher in a type of green socialism. I remember a speech by Gorbachev from a little before the year 2000 as he had joined an international enviromental group who said that enviromentalism and climate change would be the new vehicles by which international socialism could be ushered in.

"This unique approach allows the machine learning model to make more accurate predictions beyond the scope of historical data"

In other words, we programmed it to tell us exactly what we want it to tell us.

Garbage in, garbage out.

Climate is a thermodynamic system, so until the modeling adapts to the correct foundation it will always be wrong. REAL wrong.

Only people who’ve been educated beyond their capacity for comprehension can/will believe the atmosphere (or a barely discernible component thereof) has anything to do with causing climate.
Good grief!

My only answer to any of this stuff....go and talk to China, tell them to stop firing up coal powered plants weekly.

Until then, I’m not interested.

Good. Once all hope us lost maybe these crap-faced social locusts* will leave us alone

Probably not.

False theory - theory has been disproven by its failed previous predictions
False models - the models are not validated and the output is noise

Having an AI (just a bunch of code) run false models to review false outputs yields the expected false outcome.

Besides, according to these same people we only had 10 years to stop the warming, and that was back in the 1970s. Oops, my bad, that was 10 years to stop global cooling. Of course the solution was same. Then there was only 10 years to stop the warming but that clock started in the 1980s. Therefore, per these same people, we are already past the point of no return, so there is no point spending money trying to stop it.

Earth on the verge of crossing critical climate thresholds

(wonder if Stanford's the least bit embarrassed over this latest pantload?)

When Volcanic explosions can be controlled then the climate experts and AI might have some relevance, until then its all speculation with many variables.

Who funded the study? Who developed the AI that manipulated the data? After all, AI reflects the bias and prejudice of its developers. Nuanced, but real none-the-less.

And yet the Greeniacs continue to attack the US for climate change and ignore China’s continuing to build coal fired power plants and India’s ignoring any suggestion they cut their CO2 emissions.

“The AI predicts a high probability [of reaching 1.5 degrees] in the next 10 to 15 years, even if emissions are reduced in that time period.”

So then, what's the point? Just yesterday, we saw reports that China approved another 50 GW of coal fired power plants last year. They sure as hell aren't worried about 2100.

From what I saw on Juan Browne’s YouTube channel, Nevada Co, CA could use about three of those 1.5 degrees of extra temperature to help melt their three feet of new snow.

Andy Grove would be shocked how stupid and political Stanford has become.
About 10 years ago, I heard they are now more left than Berkeley.
No surprise.

So banks will stop giving loans on properties that will be under water soon? Insurance companies will stop issuing insurance for any property that will be affected? Poor Al Gore and Obama!
