Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is paying the Babylon Bee, a conservative satire website, and, surprise surprise, they are now producing propaganda against Donald Trump heading into the 2024 presidential primary.

Journalist Laura Loomer found the receipts and posted evidence showing that DeSantis and his affiliated political action committee paid over $20,000 to the Babylon Bee.
Loomer followed up with Babylon Bee owner Seth Dillon who said that DeSantis was paying off his satire page for “consulting”, “joke/speech writing”, and “helping him find funny angles.”
Big League Politics reported on DeSantis’ history of supporting brutal lockdowns during the COVID pandemic, shuttering church services and then shilling for the experimental vaccine:
“A common trope from supporters of the likely presidential run of Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is that he stopped COVID lockdowns in his state during the height of the pandemic while President Donald Trump was pushing them from the White House.
But the record shows that this is not what occurred. DeSantis used his authority as governor to enforce lockdowns, shuttering businesses, and use the power of the state to punish noncompliance with his edicts.

Additionally, pastors were arrested and thrown in jail because they held services during DeSantis’ lockdown. The DeSantis administration grotesquely infringed upon religious liberty and made a mockery of the 1st Amendment during the pandemic:
DeSantis, like Trump, has shilled hard for the experimental COVID-19 vaccines as well, assuring the public that they were safe for usage and would stop transmission when that turned out to be a lie.
“If you’re vaccinated and you test positive but you don’t get sick, well the name of the game is to keep people out of the hospital,” DeSantis said in July 2021. “Seventy-five percent of Floridians over the age of 50 have gotten shots, so we think that’s really, really positive.”
“If you are vaccinated, fully vaccinated, the chance of you getting seriously ill or dying from COVID is effectively zero,” he said “If you look at the people that are being admitted to hospitals, over 95% of them are either not fully vaccinated or not vaccinated at all. And so these vaccines are saving lives. They are reducing mortality.”’
DeSantis will continue to aggressively co-opting the conservative movement to destroy MAGA and America First heading into 2024. He is emerging as the most dangerous RINO alive.

I was a big fan of the Babylon Bee.....until now.
That is dirty pool. That is as bad as when Mitt Romney bought the search terms “Ron and “Paul” from google so he could control what Google spit out about Ron Paul.
Not even the Bee can hurt DT. All they will do is make him more popular.

June 2020 was pretty early on. When exactly did Trump change from the initial shutdown experiment, and how broad was it by June 2020? The article should at least include that information to show the contrast.
I personally think both Trump and DeSantis are too globalist-connected.
Believe we should figure out who the best candidate other than either of them would be for our country, however unlikely we may be to have a fair election.
He was also allowing them to operate at 50% capacity, which was much better than most restrictions at the time.

We (well they) are already tearing each other part and we wonder why we can’t beat a loser like Biden.
Babylon Bee has poked fun at President Trump forever. They could have made the same story without the donation.
A better question would be if they would poke fun at DeSantis if someone on staff comes up with a joke.
