Lizzo issued a rebuke Monday to critics who accused her of making music that only appeals to white people — an allegation raised in her new HBO Max documentary, “Love, Lizzo.”
“[It’s] very hurtful, only because I am a Black woman, and I feel like it really challenges my identity and who I am, and diminishes that, which I think is really hurtful,” the “Juice” singer, 34, said during an appearance on “The Howard Stern Show.”

“It was a Black school,” Lizzo told Vanity Fair for its November cover story. “Mostly Black and brown, Caribbean, I had Nigerian friends … They were all listening to what was on the radio: Usher, Destiny’s Child, Ludacris and I was into Radiohead’s ‘OK Computer.’” “I kept it hidden, even when I was in a rock band, because I didn’t want to be made fun of by my peers — they’d yell, ‘White girl!’” she recalled.

LOL. White folks that like fat, nasty blacks?
No joke....there is actually a tool for the purpose.
Right. We don’t want her either.
🤔🐎💩
Anyone that says Lizzo makes music doesn’t know what music is. Lizzo is a freak show only adored by other freaks. Lizzo is a walking, err rolling, advertisement for the seven deadly sins. America looks more like the Weimar Republic every day. Culturally, debauchary abounds.
Might be too hard on the knees. Probably needs to start with water aerobics.
Stupid fat slob hurt by what?
I worked with black guys my age in 1969. One night, I asked one what he thought of Jimi Hendrix. He had never heard of him.
Looks more like she made music for pies.
Oh, did ‘ they’ now. After that comment from ‘them’ I’m boycottin............. Oh, wait. I was boycotting and didn’t even know. 😎👍

Perusing youtube I often see many music reaction channels hosted by black people that have titles like “first time hearing”. They must be lying. I cannot conceive some of the songs they claim it is the first time hearing as they are referenced in every movie, or tv show known to man and constantly played in every restaurant, or bar, and covered ad nauseum by other bands. Unless they really have not watched TV or a single movie in their entire life. I am not a bazonkazoids music guy, but I have heard all of those songs eleventy billion times.
She doesn't make music for this white people. In fact, I wan't even aware she made music of any kind.
I’ve known a few Black people who were legal immigrants from someplace in Africa-a couple of people who own businesses here, a co-worker, a neighbor from Ethiopia, etc-and none of them seem to be fond of American Blacks-they call them ill mannered, uneducated, mention their use of bad grammar/excessive profanity-and worse-so it speaks well for this Lizzo that she had a friend from Africa-she really needs to visit a nutritionist and get on a healthy, low carb/paleo diet, too-she is setting a bad example for girls/young women by being morbidly obese...

But taking 30 plus years off of your life is empowering. (snarky sarcasm)
Lizzo, I promise I have not, and will not, listen to your music.
She should be glad she lives in 2022 instead of the old days.Paul Whiteman (1890-1967) was the bandleader known as The King of Jazz.
His theme song was Rhapsody in Blue but he popularized Flamin’ Mamie, I Never Knew and Whiteman Stomp. (I think the last song was an inspiration to urban thugs today.)
