It's already established by Supreme Court precedent whether you choose to "see" it or not:

"Social media allows users to gain access to information and communicate with one another on any subject that might come to mind. With one broad stroke, North Carolina bars access to what for many are the principal sources for knowing current events, checking ads for employment, speaking and listening in the modern public square..."

That case was about the government restricting a private person's access to social media. The government can't do that because the government is subject to the 1st Amendment.

The government has no involvement in this James Woods saga.

I'm a fan of free speech and private property. I fully support both Elon's right to restore previously banned people and to stifle Kanye's speech on Twitter, as he just did.

It amazes me the number of people who fundamentally misunderstand what a constitutional right is - and isn't.

Does everyone have a "right" to post on FR, or is it only Twitter that the framers had in mind?

The recent case on the 5th Circuit COA described a "right to post" legal imperative for "platform" companies like Facebook and Twitter, that would apply to FR also.

So when do your rights interfere with Jim’s right to offer a platform with a certain standard?

You have your right and Jim has his. This is where the market place enters.

That question is ridiculous in light of the original context. It makes no sense. But whatever ...

“…the collusion of state security and tech oligarchs to influence the election”

Ah, yes, those venerated public/private partnerships that have been all the rage with the government oligarchy and leftist NGOs for the past 2-3 decades.

So an NGO - the DNC, for the benefit of its candidate Joe Biden, gets then-Leftist Twitter to stifle speech, remove content and ban participation and close accounts. Then, once Joe Biden gets successfully installed as president, under the same name - but even greater power and authority, the office of the president, through the same DNC to Twitter superhighway - increases and magnifies the censorship and banning on any issue they wish to suppress.

A very fine public/private partnership. The lawyers who shout about “it’s a private organization” are either willfully blind to the deep, systemic integration of the government oligarchy with private for-profit and not-for-profit enterprises. Or they are just being ignorantly pedantic.

We live in a time where public entity and private entity has been blurred - intentionally, by those in the government oligarchy and their fellow-riders operating solely for the benefit of those government operators (like CNN, NBC, ABC, CBS, NYT, Facebook, WP).

Those wonderful public/private partnerships have led us to right here, where if you scratch the government (barely) you find a multitude of “private” entities doing the work and the bidding of the government oligarchy that is running BOTH.

They used to call that fascism…but we can’t say that, can we? That should censored.

Can you provide a citation or summarize the ruling?

Does this right to post prevent Jim from zotting someone?

I cannot stomach the fact that Twitter is a source of such credibility that it can throw elections.

Nice excuse for the senile guy and obviously he's not doing it himself, but he's not above things like this and neither are the people he gave jobs to. Every president has retreads from past administrations on their staff, but it's too late in the day to still be blaming Obama and letting Biden off the hook.

That question is ridiculous in light of the original context.

What? You said your forefathers died for you right to post on Twitter.

I asked if people also had the right to post on FR.

What part doesn't make sense to you?

Let’s not forget that Kamala Harris was a sitting US Senator during the presidential campaign.
