EXCLUSIVE: Pennsylvania property war heats up: Senate candidate John Fetterman failed to disclose owning eight properties near Pittsburgh worth $100,000, watchdog says in complaint after blasting Dr. Oz for his New Jersey and Florida mansions

A watchdog group is filing a complaint asking the Senate Ethics Committee to investigate why Pennsylvania Democrat John Fetterman allegedly failed to disclose eight real estate assets on his most recent personal financial disclosure.

The total value of the properties he left off his disclosure form was $108,800. All eight of the properties were in Braddock, Pa.- Fetterman's hometown where he served as mayor. His name is listed as owner on all of them on the Allegheny County website. Many of the properties appeared to be empty lots worth between $10,000 and $20,000, one was a building structure worth over $40,000.

Fetterman did not list a single real estate asset on his most recent July 29 disclosure. His team could not be reached for comment on the matter.

The Foundation for Accountability and Civic Trust (FACT) wrote a letter, obtained by DailyMail.com, to Ethics Committee Chairman Sen. Chris Coons, D-De., and Vice Chairman James Lankford, R-Okla., asking them to 'immediately investigate' whether Fetterman violated the law by withholding the assets from his disclosure form.

Federal law and Senate ethics rules require Senate candidates to file a financial disclosure statement that provides a 'full and complete' statement of their assets, debts, and income, as well as any position held. Candidates are required to report any property with a 'fair market value' of $1,000 or more.

According to FACT, at least seven of the eight properties Fetterman did not disclose were valued over $1,000- though the precise fair market value is not known, their assessed values are $41,500, $22,100, $14,100, $10,500, $9,600, $9,300, $1,000 and $700.

8 properties for less than 150K…. You can’t even get a 1br1b condo for that here.

The fine print says that the buyer is responsible for paying liens, etc and they are expected to be in excess of $28000.

That’s still a really cheap house.

I’ve seen worse.

That chandelier is probably worth more than the asking price. I’m surprised no one stole it.

“Someday FREEPERS will learn how to read. A true miracle! They are empty lots.”

I was thinking the same thing. Amazed that 99% here did not see that detail in the article.

Things sure have changed here.

Appears to be empty lots and a couple of old buildings.

From the excerpt...
“Many of the properties appeared to be empty lots worth between $10,000 and $20,000, one was a building structure worth over $40,000.”

The problem with Braddock is it is now home to criminal Negros who have given it murder rate higher than many third world countries. In it's prime, Braddock was a respectable town, and home to hard working White steel mill workers.

In PA, often the assessed value is a fraction of the actual value of the property. There are some strange rules about assessments so oftentimes the tax rates go up but the values do not.

Not the whole story.
From the link...
“Spacious four bedroom home with a two car integral garage. Minutes to I-376. Property is sold via Quit Claim Deed. Buyer to complete due diligence, Buyer is responsible for all liens, judgments, & encumbrances, estimated in excess of $22, 000.”

Wonder how much the liens, judgements, and encumbrances exceed $22,000?
PLUS looks like it needs lots of work and probably a company to get rid of rats, snakes and every bug known to the area.

It’s not the value of the properties that matters, it’s the value of the crack, meth, and fentanyl you can sell from them.

Nowadays, $1 can’t buy much. But Freeloading Fetterman was handed his house for $1. pic.twitter.com/cSAYgYWHTN— Dr. Mehmet Oz (@DrOz) September 13, 2022
