The number of children and adolescents with a diagnosis somewhere along the autism spectrum continues to rise.
According to the latest research out of Guangdong Pharmaceutical University in China, as of 2020, one out of every 30 kids is now considered autistic, a 52% jump from 2017.
Though data from the CDC puts the number closer to one in 44, the numbers are still rising, prompting many medical professionals, teachers, and parents to try to discover the cause.
Thursday on Twitter, BlazeTV host Steve Deace posited the question, "What’s the benign, innocent explanation for this [rise in autism]?"
The answer seems to be consistent from experts across various fields: changes in diagnosis and understanding of autism.
Back in 2015, Annette Estes, director of the University of Washington's Autism Center in Seattle, said, "People who are in the field are generally in consensus that the majority of the increase is due to progress in our ability to diagnose and identify people with autism in a broader spectrum than used to be possible."
For example, some behaviors once diagnosed as an intellectual disability are now considered manifestations of autism.
PBS also cautioned in 2018 that though statistical increases like 52% sound daunting, they often represent a very small fraction of an increase — in some cases, less than a quarter of a percentage point —when placed within the context of the population as a whole.

The meme said one dose given to children with ADS who were nonverbal, and they were talking in sentences within 9 hours. It was signed by Dr. Silvia Theos.
Just putting it out there. Don’t know more than that.
If you are an ordinary introvert, they consider you autistic... if you are male, you are considered autistic...if your parents are apathetic or naive, you are labeled autistic... so long as the government pays schools more for special ed kids than for regular kids, the schools will find some reason to label as many kids as possible as special ed.
Must be Trump.
If the government paid the school districts more to bus A students than C students or special ed, guess what? The schools would report they have record numbers of A student’s... and everyone would wonder what superfood they were serving at lunch.

Michael Savage reported years ago that the CDC DID find a correlation between vaccination and autism in black male children. The study was never published, obviously.

There is no way there are studies showing the interaction of all these vaccines.
It is Russian roulette—pure and simple.

i have worked with every edition of the DSM from DSM II, DSM III, IIIR, IV, and V. Every edition expands the diagnostic criteria for autism (spectrum disorders now). Careful scrutiny of the diagnostic rate over time shows clearly that there is a stepwise jump in the year after each new DSM comes out.
Bottom line is clear, and while the vax myth has never had any supporting evidence, the fact remains that there is a real, sometimes severe and disabling autism syndrome; and that its etiology is still uncertain.
At work and other places, I’ve been acquainted with quite a number of parents of autistic children. Every one of them was a marijuana user. Obviously, they hide the habit from doctors, counselors and others.
No. Bad or nonexistent parenting
When our son was 2 1/2, he had a round of shots and two weeks later, a switch was flipped in his brain. No more eye contact, no more talking. Became focused on a single little toy, mini pencil shaped. I remember making a comment to the wife about a round of shots once;
“Again? Seems like he’s had a dozen already.”
She was just following what the doctors said and always kept the kid’s records for new doctors so they’d know what the kids already had. I think it’s up to 20 different things they get vaccinated for now. Most aren’t necessary aside from making Big Pharma money.
He didn’t talk again until he was 4 1/2, riding in the back of the car with me. He started reading off the business signs, insurance, commercial, restaurant, all the multiple syllable words and pronouncing them all correct.
Had/has all the standard mild/medium characteristics. Didn’t understand social cues or facial expressions, clumsy, some stimuli issues, senses issues.
In my opinion, it is the vaccines and it affects some more than others and some not at all, especially females. By the time our son was 2 1/2, he’d had way more vaccinations than I’ve had my whole life and he was fine up until that point.
He’s 20 now and living with me. We’re working on life skills. Wife and I are separated and daughter went with her.
I know they supposedly got rid of mercury in vaccines but I don’t know if they were allowed to use up what was in stock. I read not too long ago that there’s aluminum in some. Who knows what else. I think some ingredient(s) just has an effect on some. I guess quite a few parents have had good luck with chelation but it’s expensive and slightly risky.

But if the anecdotes keep adding up to enough data, then the vax theory might bear a second look.
Except that it won’t because of Andrew Wakefield’s chicanery.
Growing up, I was shy and socially awkward as were some other kids in my class so I get that but autism is it’s own thing, especially when it’s sudden onset at pre-school age when nothing has changed environmentally. We were living in the country and went shopping every couple of weeks and diet was the same. Round of shots, boom our son is way different.
Everything affects people in different ways.
My Cousin and I had an allergic reaction to the DPT Shot, specifically Pertussis. I swelled up like a balloon from what I am told, he had Seizures.
They classified me as “Aspergers” and he is non verbal and brain damaged with constant seizures to this day. He was perfectly normal until that shot.
There are financial benefits attached to a diagnosis of autism that parents are learning to cash in in. Another problem created by the government. Imagine that.

Claims based on Autism need to be supported with medical documentation showing several limitations
