Voters in Ohio headed to the polls this week in the first major primary of the 2022 election season and chose JD Vance. Those Ohioans who turned out on Tuesday probably already knew which box they’d be ticking on the ballot.
Like many Americans, the number of Ohio residents who consider themselves swing voters has been on a steady decline since 2016. That means that in Ohio and other key states, a shrinking number of voters controls the fate of close elections, the races decided by fractions of a percentage that determine the congressional majority and who sits in the White House.
Since 2020, women over the age of 50 have increasingly tuned into politics, with the majority of us not interested in voting for generic red or blue politicians. Instead, we want candidates who are serious about tackling the issues that matter.
Right now, women across the country are weighing their options to determine who they’ll vote for on Election Day, and with midterms fast approaching, both parties should make it a priority to build a platform that makes a case to the most influential block of voters in the country – older women. And this week’s leak from the Supreme Court on their possible decision to overturn Roe v. Wade could further motivate women of all ages and across the political spectrum this November.
The United States’ older electorate has been especially crucial in recent major elections. In the past two election cycles, women over the age of 50 cast 30% of the vote across the country.
In 2020, we turned out to influence key races in Arizona, Pennsylvania, Georgia, and Wisconsin, battleground states that were decided by as few as 10,000 votes and cemented Democratic victories.

So Deep State isn’t planning on stealing the midterms?
I bet there’s not a single chick in the highest level of that cabal.
There’s two sides to this story. I say they will balance out on election day. The media only shows the pro-abortion rallies. Plenty of Pro-Lifers around. How do you think the states that are prepared to “end” abortion got to that point.
You see, men don’t count any more. It’s not PC to seek their vote as a block, or to care about issues uniquely affecting them, such as biased divorce courts, female job quotas, or false claims of abuse.
When the gales of November came early.
According to a new cnn “poll” Republicans are MORE enthusiastic about voting since the leak.
If women, as a group, weight abortion as their primary determinant of who to vote for, then it will be women, as a group, who vote for the destruction of freedom and the United States of America. There is nothing in the ‘leaked’ Supreme Court draft from one justice that outlaws abortion from a federal perspective. Nothing. It’s about states rights. If women have a problem with that, then they should move to a state that guarantees them an abortion.
For the record, I would like to see all the outraged women (like Elizabeth Warren) stand up in front of a 3-D ultrasound of a 15 week old baby and say they think it’s a woman’s right to kill that baby.
Elizabeth Warren is a soulless automaton construct. It’s not even human let alone a woman.
Garbage like that needs to be steamrolled.
After seeing that fat, black female wierdo in her silly bathing suit in front of St. Patrick’s Cathedral on Mother’s Day, I doubt anyone was influenced to join the radical left pro-death cult.
Your reply is most to the point and most accurate here. This article doesn’t really on once that anything will really change. Older women can vote but if they’re motivated on either part of the spectrum, what difference does it make? We’re still in the same rut.
That rut has been here since 2000. We are at a tipping point that could mean war.
Pretty sure they’re talking about single woman who are supported by daddy. Those with jobs and families to feed are more concerned about inflation and crime.
You would be shocked by the depravity they would utter. Soulless evil, trust me. Your handle makes Mr. Churchill smile.
If you read even the excerpt, you’ll see that really she’s saying women are not going to make much difference…because they are split like any other given grouping. She didn’t really make a case that women will change much.
I agree with you that Hillary is not a woman.
Repeal the thingy
“In 2020, we turned out to influence key races in Arizona, Pennsylvania, Georgia, and Wisconsin, battleground states that were decided by as few as 10,000 votes and cemented Democratic victories.”
What is she bragging? Fox is so onerous.
She will happily say yes.
Fox is fake news.
Abortion is a luxury issue. When all else is good, abortion may be the decider.
BUT- when you can’t feed your family, recession is in full swing, inflation is out of the stratosphere, fentanyl is invading your neighborhood, your car is being stolen or your house broken into and the police can do nothing, gas is making your commute unaffordable and some freaky old Doctor is taking lockdowns, nobody but the usual diehards will care about abortion. Nobody will care about killing those not yet born, they will care about the survival of those already here.
The “sex strike” must be working.
