Claire McCaskill: Democrats Need to Make Midterms ‘a Battle Over Abortion’
Breitbart ^ | 05/04/2022 | Pam Key

Posted on 05/04/2022 11:55:00 AM PDT by ChicagoConservative27

Former Sen. Claire McCaskill (D-MO) said Wednesday on MSNBC’s “Andrea Mitchell Reports” that she believed Democrats had to make the 2022 midterm election “a battle over abortion.”

Discussing the Supreme Court potentially overturning Roe v Wade, guest-host Peter Alexander said, “Senator, let’s focus on the raw politics of this if we can. Democrats, as you know well, do not have the votes right now to try to overturn the filibuster. Isn’t trying to eliminate the filibuster a fool’s errand.”

I agree. I’d love to hear them give a full-throated defense of infanticide, including detailed descriptions of each of the various methods and procedures.

which is why the ruling was leaked. It went from mom’s attacking the democrat party for grooming and CRT, to mom’s attacking R’s for abortion. Pretty good idea if you ask me. That said, I dont think it’s going to have the effect the Dems want. I think it will bring out more anti-abortion Christians who will vote for pro-Trump candidates to make sure this new ruling stays put.

The midterms will be about whatever is on people’s minds those last 7 days.

That's why they all push so hard for early voting, to lock in the votes before the last-minute dirt is comes out.

What a great idea.

If they do that, THEY WILL LOSE, BIG TIME.

They used “prvacy” as a reason to make abortion legal nationally.

I was thinking about that woman from Texas, I believe, who killed her five children. After all, it was a Private Matter.

She was sent to jail, but the skank scammed her way out of there by saying she was really just nuts.

And, I also believe our Justice system believed her and she now resides in an institution.

I pray to God that the Justices remain strong and reverse this odious Law...or whatever it is.

Besides, if you examine it ...it is RACIST.

It’s amazing to me that the Dems think this is such a winning issue for them. It’s really indicative of how out of touch they are with ordinary Americans.

How much incremental support in the elections, will the Democrats get by pushing abortion? There are certainly some radical liberal types for whom abortion is a sacrament, and a hill to die on. But those types are political junkie types who always vote in every election anyway. But how much additional support will they get?

And they have to push abortion, because they can hardly run on the outstanding record of the Biden administration.

Considering current polling, it’s hard to see Democrats gaining much. I look forward to new polls which were taken after the hand grenade of this draft opinion was thrown into our politics.

I’m for saving babies in the womb. The left brought this upon themselves. Killing babies midterm and even proposing killing them after they are born. Plus, let’s not forget the knife plunge in the brain and the tearing of limbs etc. they have over played their hand, as always. If they think that abortion on demand is a game changer they are delusional…for sure.

PS. It is amazing that the woman who gave birth has the authority to cause the death of the child since the child belongs to her, yet

Suddenly, when they go to school, the parent cannot control what happen to the child because...the school system owns them.

I could imagine an AOC or a Dianne Feinstein making that argument, but Missouri ain’t NYC or California. She would not be able to win her seat there if that were the issue.

They should have hung on to the sensational reveal until October, but they couldn’t, because this one’s about donors, not votes. And it apparently isn’t working. Even pro-aborts know when they’re being run.

Could a federal law be passed allowing or denying it? Not sure... I would assume if the fed did pass a law mandating abortion be legal nationally states would sue...

Clearly the 10th amendment makes it hard to see how this would be a federal matter... However, there are tons of federal laws that legislate things not expressly enumerated as part of the federal governments domain, so I will leave it to legal scholars to enlighten me on this one.

But yes, the strike down would instantly return it to the states.... whether the fed could do anything about that or not.... that’s a question.

I won’t be lectured about “my body, my choice” from Democrats who tried to force vaccine mandates for the past 2 years.

Well the left legitimately has a reason to clutch pearls.

Most of their agenda advancement over the last 6 decades has not been through legislature but through court decisions that are insane and not having legal merit.

Roe is the most egregious example of judicial activism, but clearly not the only one....

If the court truly returns to being a constitutional court, much of the leftward marxist march of the last 6 decades could be undone and they know it.

That was the plan since the probable guy that leaked it is a non-American thug. (and die-versity hire?)
