The authorities of the Republic of Poland, after consultations between the President and the Goverment, are ready to deploy – immediately and free of charge – all their MIG-29 jets to the Ramstein Air Base and place them at the disposal of the Government of the United States of America.
At the same time, Poland requests the United States to provide us with used aircraft with corresponding operational capabilities. Poland is ready to immediately establish the conditions of purchase of the planes.
The Polish Government also requests other NATO Allies – owners of MIG-29 jets – to act in the same vein.
Scary that Joe is wanting to risk an unwinnable war over this.
Still Poland has 23 Mig-29s mostly the A and UB variant so fairly old. If they were new they would cost something like 667 million dollars.
The Polish probably want F15s for them, which would be kind of a steal if Joe trades one for one.
How do you figure? Warsaw will be hit first. Russian first strike with tactical nukes will be NATO countries assisting US aggression against Russia
It may become unwinnable. It depends on how many Russians the Ukrainians stack up.

There are not enough Ukrainians to conquer Russia, and Russia would simply wipe them off the face of the Earth if they became too annoying.
Russia will decide what happens to the Ukraine now. The only way to stop Russia would risk killing everyone.
I am against intervening in a EU conflict but... there is no risk of a nuclear exchange between anyone even in a hot war scenario. If nuclear weapons were so effective, then why didn’t Putin just drop one on Kiev and call for surrender? Why is he killing his own troops now when one bomb would have done the trick?
The idea is that a nuke would be first used to take out an entire invading army, not civilians. But the deterrent is knowing that it would result in nukes being launched against the civilian population, that would then result in the tit-for-tat escalation of using nukes.

we arent talking about tac nuks on Ukraine. We’re talking about tac nuks against NATO countries that are supplying Ukraine. Then we are in a war with Russia.

I have a feeling everyone knew about the labs. Putin came out months ago presenting it...that we have the labs right near their border. Bad news. Dumb, move on our leaderships part.
All academic now anyway...since the U.S. DoD said “no deal”...I doubt Poland will be giving away their whole air force to Ukraine for nothing in return and no new “plane deal on credit” from the USA.

They’ve been in NATO 22 plus years— and only been treated well under Trump. The missile killers and the extra US troops which Biden removed.
By now the Poles have learned how they are being whipsawed between.... Germans and Russians. See: Ribbentrop-Molotov treaty Hitler and Stalin signed... and then what Stalin did to the entire Polish military leadership at Katyn. Poles remember this, and Biden and more precisely Blinkin are both stupid idiots.
