Ford Motor Company said in a statement Friday that it’s working with around 400 salaried U.S. employees from Ford and Ford Credit who remain unvaccinated against COVID-19 without accommodations before taking action on a plan to place them on unpaid leave.
Ford said, “The ultimate goal is to have all employees working, focused on Ford’s business goals and be compliant with the vaccine policy. “

Ford added, “Unpaid leave is limited to those that choose not to be vaccinated and have not sought and received an accommodation. We will not be implementing this action until each employee impacted has been personally contacted, listened to and given an opportunity to make an informed choice. “

"They have a gun to their head." No they don't, the Supreme Court took the mandate away so Ford doesn't have to do this and they have no excuse.

Sounds fair enough in a right direction sort of middle ground which a largely regulated industry needs to do in order to survive in such a situation to benefit all participants. I’ll wait and see.

The ultimate goal is to have all employees working, focused on Ford’s business goals... Easy. Very, very easy. Then just focus on your business goals and stay the {expletive} out of your employees' personal lives. Forget all about vaccines.
You want to focus on something, then simply focus on it - that is 100% up to you.

The Ford Mustang Mach E (Mustang in name only)
Their marketing execs should've given more thought to the name, it sounds a lot like that old anti Jewish slur, MOCKY. As if they're harkening back to Henry Ford's anti Semitic proclivities😖🤬

I wouldn’t be surprised if Ford has given a medical or religious exemption to everyone who has asked for one.
These last 400 may just be asking to be terminated. Or maybe they retired already and Ford just hasn’t figured it out yet!

Very neat. Indefinite unpaid leave instead of layoffs! I wish I knew of that option when I worked in manufacturing.

Intel
Micron
Analog Devices
Texas Instruments rolled out their vax mandate BEFORE DementiaJoe made his national announcement.

I hope that nobody vaccinated spreads the virus to all the other vaccinated employees when the unvaccinated are on unpaid leave.
