Ford Motor Company said in a statement Friday that it’s working with around 400 salaried U.S. employees from Ford and Ford Credit who remain unvaccinated against COVID-19 without accommodations before taking action on a plan to place them on unpaid leave.
Ford said, “The ultimate goal is to have all employees working, focused on Ford’s business goals and be compliant with the vaccine policy. “

No they don't, the Supreme Court took the mandate away so Ford doesn't have to do this and they have no excuse.
Sounds fair enough in a right direction sort of middle ground which a largely regulated industry needs to do in order to survive in such a situation to benefit all participants. I’ll wait and see.

Very neat. Indefinite unpaid leave instead of layoffs! I wish I knew of that option when I worked in manufacturing.
I hope that nobody vaccinated spreads the virus to all the other vaccinated employees when the unvaccinated are on unpaid leave.

CVS announced their mandate 40 minutes after the approval for the non-used Comirnaty on August 23. I was terminated for non-compliance on 11/30.
