Reports on the ground are only a few police have donned gas masks, it’s more of an intimidation move.
Police are using barriers to compress the crowd, and presumably drive them out. There is no overty violence from either side.
Someone on the protester side is saying “Don’t push back” to the demonstrators near where the police are moving the barriers. Why not? The police will just disperse the mob if they are allowed to move the barriers without resistance.
If the truckers are forced out of town, they should form a boycott around the city...no trucks go in the city. Force the city to go to the suburbs for staples but must do without on others items. Passive resistance takes away governmental confrontation ie: cops and military.
All this over vaccine/mask mandates, FFS. Even the far left communists in Buncombe County, North Carolina finally ended the mask mandates this past Wednesday. Ye gads, Canada.
Funny you should mention that. I’ve read that since this convoy was in the area and protesting, parliament has been in session as needed. Except for today. They decided not to have a session, or whatever it’s called in Canada, because of expected police activity. Apparently that made it too dangerous for them to be there. That tells you everything you need to know about what Trudeau and his advisers, etc. Had planned.
This is a bold play by True Dough —He is banking on People going back to sleep and watching TV. They will paint the Truckers as the “Bad Guys” (Like they did the protestors on Jan.6) and Canadians will sit back—until they have lost what freedoms they have left. Too Fat, too comfortable, for Revolution—But it will come In Time. Maybe 20 yeas of Socialist Tyranny will change their minds.

It seems like the state run CBC media was the one concocting all those stories about the supposed horrible things the peaceful protesters were doing. I’ve watched hours of videos from there and not seen one incident as they claim has occurred.
This is embarrassing as hell for Trudeau. He had plenty of time to do it right - and plenty of time to learn something about running a country.
Does anyone really think he’s going to relinquish his emergency powers what is the clear the truckers out. It’ll be like Covid, they will use potential future protests as a reason to keep the powers in place.

Last thing I saw was an unarmed protestor held down by two thugs while a third thug was beating him with the butt of a rifle. I had heard of a protestor who was a disabled vet having his crippled leg broken by a thug earlier in the day.
Honestly that doesn't sound like Canadians to me. I know that's a very generalized statement but just sayin'...
