When William S. Burroughs wrote Naked Lunch his supporters had to convince the first publisher to take it. Junkie, The Ticket That Exploded, Nova Express and others could now be slight variations on nonfiction about NYC.
Burroughs ended up living in Lawrence, Kansas in a regular house on a normal street from 1981-1997. He kept up his strong advocacy for gun ownership to the end of his life.
