What to Make of Terry McAuliffe’s Disgraceful Display in Virginia

The Virginia gubernatorial race was a contest that Democrat candidate Terry McAuliffe was expected to cruise to victory in, and with considerable ease. His rival Republican Glenn Youngkin wasn’t even supposed to be a factor.

But as an ancient Hindu text states ‘“When doom is inevitable, the person’s intellect works against his or her best interest.”

After a series of major gaffes, McAuliffe is now trailing behind Youngkin in a recent Fox News Poll among likely voters in Virginia. Youngkin’s lead is now eight points which is outside the poll’s margin of sampling error.

Among the reasons for this fall is McAuliffe’s preposterous statement “I don’t think parents should be telling schools what they should teach.”

Also, a Youngkin advertisement that featured a mother who successfully waged a legal battle to remove a violent and sexually explicit novel from the school curriculum was branded as a "racist dog whistle." by McAuliffe. That didn't go over too well with voters, either.

Overall, McAuliffe is beginning to look desperate and consequently lackluster.

Things took a turn for the worse yesterday when the disgraced anti-Trump group the Lincoln Project attempted to orchestrate a hoax that involved five individuals dressed up as white supremacists expressing support for Youngkin in a bid to repel Virginia's voters. Among these ‘white wupremacists’ reluctantly standing before Youngkin’s campaign bus was a black man and what appeared to be a woman.

The motives behind this disgraceful and amateur stunt were instantly discovered and ridiculed on social media.

But that didn't stop members of McAuliffe’s campaign team and their allies in the media, amplifying the hoax.

McAuliffe’s ‘outraged’ communications staffer Jen Goodman tweeted that the gathering was “disgusting and disqualifying.”

Thankfully any hope of Terry running as POTUS in 2024 are ruined due this laughable campaign. Win or lose he is done.

I recall thinking the same thing about Nixon after he lost the governors race in California in 1962. Politics is a short term game !

and what appeared to be a woman.

LOL - poor woman. That is if she is a she and wants to be considered a she. Which is insane to type but "truth" these days which doesn't mean much these days. Ah, never mind.

Have Republicans learned ways to combat massive vote fraud? If not they will lose.

Although Virginia right now is light blue and becoming bluer, Virginia may be an example of why heavily Democrat states like California, Illinois and Massachusetts often elect Republican governors, albeit RINOs, while sending Democrats to Congress and the Presidency to blight the national landscape. It is analogous to throwing their trash out the window to annoy others rather than having it lay about the floors in their home. Basically. they do not want the far left version of their “virtue” signaling impacting their own lives or they determine the fiscal irresponsibility that Democrat governors bring to their states may need a deep local cleansing and so they elect a RINO governor to clean it, only to have their short-term memories pick up the crack pipe again and return to a Dem governor once the RINO cleans the fiscal mess. Many of the white virtue signalers in Northern Virginia do not want CRT or boys in girls’ bathrooms impacting their own kids, although they don’t mind it impacting some other state’s kids. Their hypocrisy gives RINO Youngkin, who has promised to dump CRT, the edge. In that sense, Dem hypocrisy holds certain benefits for Republican candidates.

the purpose of polls is to allow the commies to plot how many votes they need to steal. Same with exit polls or the now electronic transmission of counting progress to edison. This will be a big one similar to the steal of trump in 2020.

Watched the entire Youngkin Rally last evening, and found it
to be full of Spirit, pride, and hope.

Know nothing about the man, but impressed he did ask for
prayers from all supporters. What was seen is a far cry from
the slug now holding the Governor’s seat.

LET’S GO BRANDON!
