Virginia gubernatorial candidate and former Gov. Terry McAuliffe (D) appeared to cancel or skip campaign events only days before Tuesday’s bellwether election.

McAuliffe, on Thursday night, did not show up for a “Get Out the Vote” (GOTV) event in Prince William County.

The dems, who think I’m one of them. have been checking my voting status to see if I’ve sent my absentee ballot in since they can’t steal mine this time as they have in the past. I’ve been holding off and they have been sending emails and mailers like crazy “reminding” me to send it in. They wouldn’t need to do that if their cheating could put them over w/o getting caught. And Ive seen more Youngkin signs than ever at houses which NEVER had signs before.

Canceling events may be McCaulliffe's way of preventing "dirty tricks" from being played at his campaign events the way he just did at a Youngkin event.
