Texas COVID Patient Dies Days After Judge Ruled He Must Be Given Ivermectin Treatment [Never Given Ivermectin]

Pete Lopez, 73, died of COVID-19 on Monday, after weeks of his family pushing for hospital physicians to administer ivermectin, an antiparasitic drug.

To last paragraph

Lorigo said the hospital still refused to give Lopez ivermectin despite the judge's ruling, a decision the attorney said wasn't theirs to make because the court order made it a legal obligation.

On Monday, the hospital received a stay from an appellate court judge and the parties were set to argue the case on Tuesday, but Lopez died before the hearing.

“ Phil Valentine recommends you have it at the ready, and that you get your Vitamin D levels checked, too.”

How’d that work out for Phil?

Hospitals are paid the medicare rate plus 20% under the CARES act:

“An analysis by the Kaiser Family Foundation looked at average Medicare payments for hospital admissions for the existing diagnosis-related groups and noted that the “average Medicare payment for respiratory infections and inflammations with major comorbidities or complications in 2017 … was $13,297. For more severe hospitalizations, we use the average Medicare payment for a respiratory system diagnosis with ventilator support for greater than 96 hours, which was $40,218.”

“The CARES Act created the 20% add-on to be paid for Medicare patients with COVID-19. The act further created a $100 billion fund that is being used to financially assist hospitals — a “portion” of which will be “used to reimburse healthcare providers, at Medicare rates, for COVID-related treatment of the uninsured,” according to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

“As the Kaiser analysis noted, though, “it is unclear whether the new fund will be able to cover the costs of the uninsured in addition to other needs, such as the purchase of medical supplies and the construction of temporary facilities.”

For high-infection areas:

“More than 161 COVID-19 admissions
At least one COVID-19 admission per day
Higher than the national average ratio of COVID-19 admissions per bed

“The new payments will be $50,000 per COVID-19 admission, less than the $77,000 in an earlier round.”

Agree

Secondly, a large percentage of our circle of family and friends are well off to very wealthy-—the ones with concierge docs who got more than the sniffles all immediately got regeneron, ivm, hcq, vitamin infusions, fancy nebulizers, etc and got well very fast

Anyone wanna bet that the leftist pigs pushing the “no cure but vax” argument are also consumers of these protocols ?

The McMaster studies are double-blind randomized trials in Columbia, Argentina and again in Brazil. None showed statistical improvement in mild cases. In Argentina it was a spectacular failure - 5 days to vent versus 10 days

https://trialsitenews.com/mcmaster-together-trial-ivermectin-a-no-show-while-fluvoxamine-shows-some-promise/

Columbia:
Among adults with mild COVID-19, a 5-day course of ivermectin, compared with placebo, did not significantly improve the time to resolution of symptoms. The findings do not support the use of ivermectin

Argentina:
The mean time from study enrollment to invasive mechanical ventilatory support (MVS) was 5.25 days (SD ± 1.71) in ivermectin group and 10 days (SD ± 2) in placebo group, (p = 0.019).

The percentages are better than a vent, I suspect.

A real Doctor, speaking to me in person, tells me that ventilator patients have a 50% survival rate in the first 24 hours. It deteriorates from there very quickly.

The survival rate for COVID-19 patients on a ventilator is about 10%.

I wonder what she will say when she calls back, and I ask for a prophylactic prescription for Ivermectin.

Most likely she will say that it is against corporate policy to prescribe Ivermectin for uses unapproved by the FDA. In other words, "No".

And she will say that in her professional medical opinion, you should not take Ivermectin as a preventive or treatment measure against COVID-19. She will be quite sincere.

It is easy to believe something when your job depends on believing it.

Doctors are currently federally immune from malpractice lawsuits when treating COVID patients. But ONLY if they use “approved” treatments. Administer an unapproved treatment, and they lose their liability shield.

This is why.

https://www.ama-assn.org/practice-management/sustainability/liability-protections-health-care-professionals-during-covid-19

“The Public Readiness and Emergency Preparedness Act (PREP Act) provides broad immunity protections to health care professionals who administer or use countermeasures covered by declarations issued by the Secretary of HHS.”

So the hospital refuses to administer a drug with no side-effects effects that could have saved his life. Lawsuit!

I read that if the hospital won’t do what you want, get checked into hospice and they are not bound by NIH / CDC / Fauci death-causing protocols, and can get you whatever you want to try.

Lorigo said the hospital still refused to give Lopez ivermectin despite the judge's ruling,

Gee, and we could have had another happy outcome. It seems that some people just enjoy killing people.

After judge orders hospital to use experimental Covid-19 treatment, woman recovers

On Jan. 2, Smentkiewicz was given her first dose of Ivermectin, and according to court papers filed by her family, she made “a complete turnaround.”

“In less than 48 hours, my mother was taken off the ventilator, transferred out of the Intensive Care Unit, sitting up on her own and communicating,” Kulbacki said in a court affidavit."

But doctors who have had success with the treatment seem to always indicate it must be given early.

Well waiting until you are intubated doesn't give you much of a chance does it. At first signs of cold or flu begin treatment, before you need emergency care.

Back when pharmacists could make their own concoctions we had a druggist that made a cold/flu pill that cured you overnight never failed me or anyone in our family. That formula died with him.

It is a good thing the man died before he could be given the evil Ivermectin. It would surely have harmed him.
